The Teutonic Knights (Ordensstaat) are now available from Victrix Miniatures for those seeking to add to their 28mm Medieval collections. Additionally, the set also comes with plenty of bits for making dashing Fantasy Knights as well so you get the best of both worlds.

This versatile set comes with three different types of sprues so you can make a mixture of different knights for both Historical and Fantasy wargames. You get two sprues featuring the Medieval & Fantasy Heads/Cloaks, two sprues of Medieval Barded Horses and two sprues of Medieval Knights.

This means that you can build standard Medieval Knights, Teutonic Knights or Fantasy Knights depending on the game that you're playing. If you're building your Teutonic Knights then you'll be crafting those that evolved into a military organisation in 1198 as the "Teutonic Knights of the Hospital of St Mary of Jerusalem".

They were commanded by a Hochmeister or Grand Master and saw action in Palestine, Armenia plus fighting the pagan tribes of Eastern Europe near the Baltic coast. You can give them their full mail, lances, swords, shields, cloaks and those very over-the-top helmets.

On the other side, you have the Fantasy Knights who are rocking some equally fancy-looking helmets. The dynamic plastic kits from Victrix blow Games Workshop's knights out of the water and they would be perfect for those building new Bretonnian armies.
