More New Space Wolves Coming To Warhammer 40,000 Soon!
June 27, 2025 by brennon
The rest of the new Space Wolves releases are going to be up for pre-order this weekend for fans of Warhammer 40,000. Games Workshop will be releasing the new characters and more for those seeking to begin their sagas in 10th Edition.
Logan Grimnar // Warhammer 40,000
We lead with the new characters, and first out of the (ice) block was Logan Grimnar. He has avoided having to ride around in the back of a sledge now and will be stalking into battle with his axe, Morkai, ready to cleave off heads. He also comes flanked by his two Fenrisian Wolves, who will be savaging anyone who escapes the bite of his axe.
If you're looking to embrace the more spiritual side of the Space Wolves, then you've got a new miniature for Njall Stormcaller.
Njall Stormcaller // Warhammer 40,000
As the premier Rune Priest of the Space Wolves, he is able to draw on immense psychic power to slay his enemies and support his allies. Elemental winds and storms will lash your foes and if that fails, he can shatter skulls with his glowing rune staff.
My favourite of the new miniatures is the Thor-like figure, Arjac Rockfist. His teleporting Foehammer can be sent out to smash down large foes before returning to his hand so he can get stuck into the fighting alongside the Wolf Guard.
Arjac Rockfist // Warhammer 40,000
A brilliant new miniature, and I really like the different pose where you can have Arjac unleashing Foehammer. Both poses are great, and I think I might be picking up Arjac as a fun new painting project. Will he be marching into battle alongside Logan?
New characters from the launch box are also going to be available separately. You will be able to get the Wolf Guard Battle Leader and Wolf Priest.
Wolf Guard Battle Leader // Warhammer 40,000
Wolf Priest // Warhammer 40,000
All of these new characters can be used alongside some other iconic Space Wolves legends to play out some new sagas. Let new sagas be written and songs be sung. I think it would be rather nifty to go through and paint all these characters up to match my 13th Company force.
Elite Warriors
If you're looking to unleash your elite heart of the Space Wolves then you will be able to pre-order the Wolf Guard Terminators which have been long-awaited.
Wolf Guard Terminators // Warhammer 40,000
Veteran Wolf Guard warriors can don the Chapter's much-revered Terminator armour. They act as the tip of the spear, the hammer to the Chapter's anvil and will often fight alongside the mighty heroes of the Chapter.
This new plastic set comes with give Wolf Guard Terminators armed with storm bolters and storm shields, but you can switch things up for assault cannons and power fits. The Sergeant can then wield a relic greataxe or a pair of lightning claws and you can mix and match the helmets as you see fit.
More miniatures from the launch box are also available with the Wolf Guard Headtakers taking to the battlefield.
Wolf Guard Headtakers // Warhammer 40,000
These warriors of the Wolf Guard go without the Terminator armour and instead bring their Hunting Wolves with them so they can stalk enemy warlords and villains, ready to bring them low. They can be armed with power weapons and storm shields or a pair of power weapons. The shields certainly ram home the Viking vibe.
Core Space Wolves
Last but not least, when it comes to miniatures, the core troops of the Space Wolves are also going to be available to buy. Get your hands on the hot-headed young bloods, the Blood Claws or the more tested veterans amongst the Grey Hunters.
Blood Claws // Warhammer 40,000
Grey Hunters // Warhammer 40,000
With ten miniatures per set, you'll have plenty of different ways for you to build your Space Wolves force. I feel like you have to go all unhelmeted for Space Wolves. It does make your job a lot harder when it comes to painting, but I think it showcases the personality of this Chapter all the more.
Rules & Accessories
All of these new miniatures require new rules for 10th Edition Warhammer 40,000 and that's where the new Codex comes in.
Codex Supplement: Space Wolves // Warhammer 40,000
There will be a limited-edition version and a standard version of the Codex for you to purchase. You will need to own the core Space Marine Codex to dive into the Space Wolves, but this will add in all of your specialist units, new detachments and lore.
You can then match this up alongside the new Datasheet Cards for the Space Wolves and some lovely new thematic dice.

Something for the Space Wolves mega fans out there. This should have the Chapter covered but I still have my fingers crossed for some updates to a few characters and more as we move closer towards the next edition of the game.
Will you be picking up the Space Wolves?

IDK man… seems very *pushes glasses up the nose*
very beardy to me.
GW just keeps getting more woke by the day. These are the first black Space Wolves that I have seen. I cannot wait for the white Salamanders or female marines! They are going to keep pandering to everyone until their Lore becomes even more incomprehensible. Sad to see such great cannon destroyed by lunatics.
My dude, chill the feth out.
GW had artwork depicting Space Wolves with black skin over a decade ago in the Curse of the Wulfen/Wrath of Magnus campaign books. And hey, they aren’t forcing you to paint *your* minis with a diversity of skin tones, just using their new range to say to folks “If you want to do this, it’s ok”.
Not worth the effort @dawfydd He’s the one who wants to paint The Union from Armoured Clash grey instead of blue. That says more than enough I feel.
Ah, gotcha.
False-positive aside, he’s not fundamentally wrong. The female Custodes retcon, the United Colours of Benetton people in all the photography, etc, is them seeing what they can get away with in terms of pandering to “ethical” investment funds. We’re already seeing stories and characters created by people who are fans of fans (guys like Matt Ward) of the original creators (Rick Priestly, Andy Chambers, Jervis Johnson); rather than the students of history, art and mythology who were the original creators of the 40k setting. The deviations from the source-material and the traditional themes and atmosphere of the established canon, caused… Read more »
Space Vikings riding giant wolves (that aren’t wolves) is fine but a non-white space wolf is where it gets silly and now the lore is not being respected.
But sure, play devil’s advocate about this guy whose views can be easily guessed, because you think he has a point (hint, he doesn’t).
Don’t like it? Vote with your wallet and go pick another hobby that isn’t trying to be inclusive.
‘people who don’t fully understand the original’
You mean that very obvious 2000AD pastiche of anti-thatcherism?
My guy, if you think the space fascism is meant as a guidebook for the future rather than a cautionary tale, please take a seat over there with that guy.
I think it’s silly because the evil theocratic f@scist regime being inclusive muddles the point imo. Idk much about in-universe explanations, because people do LARP the woman custodes being inspiring the same way you know who does with the Imperium.
It might just be natural “Scratch a liberal…” and whatnot.
Dear tourist (and other tourists)
Black space wolves have been canon for years. The fact you don’t know this and instead squawk like an animate lump of gammon tells the world this hobby is not for you.
Go play Bolt Action and then you can play certain armies while claiming your interest is purely ‘historical’.
You know you want to.
This is so far in the future as to actually just be irrelevant, who knows who got sent where and who landed on what planets? So there is a way to easily explain/justify their presence. However from a design perspective I do think this takes something away. Like the Vikings Valhalla series. Whilst there is obviously the above justification to fall back on, which is all fine and good, 40k uses design languages that project historical themes onto futuristic civilisations (or in the case of the Imperium, sub-civilisations). So by making vikings “diverse” you take a step away from that… Read more »
On the one hand, I agree that nothing woke, or that was turned woke, has ever turned out good. But thirty-eight-thousand-odd years in the future, I don’t see it as unreasonable that different ethnicities traveled to all these different planets, so black Space Wolves don’t strike me as impossible, or even improbable. Black *Vikings*? Now you’re just trying to rewrite history, same with pretending that there were hordes of “shield maidens” running around in any real numbers, if at all. But black space-pseudo-Vikings isn’t a bridge too far in my book. Also, shame on you for bringing the “muh fascism”… Read more »
I am glad that the space wolves are getting new models, this will please a couple of my friends
Yeah… my winter project just showed its face.
*sigh*
Welp, guess that’s an expensive weekend for me then…..
Wow, these are looking awesome, especially Arjac and the Wolf Guard termies. And loving the blood claws. Like Dawfydd, its going to be an expensice weekend for me.
I was good! *Just* Njal and some Wolf Guard Termies, along with some books and Killteam datacard sets I needed 🙂
I’ll be making plans for Njall.
I absolutely love what you did there.
Is it just me or does that Logan Grimnar pose look a bit sort of gimpy? I can’t quite put my finger on it but it looks a bit effeminate and slightly knock-kneed
Like he’s tottering in high heels…
@onlyonepinman are you referring to the leg placed forward? I say this because I noticed it as well. One would have to reposition the line of the ‘knee to foot’ slightly to the left.
The hand out to the side is very reminiscent of the hand movements in latin dance. Combined with the knees, which seem to be quite too close together, it just looks a bit camp, like he’s dancing or something.
Dang, you’re not wrong; now I can’t not-see it! 😆
