We got a look at the new miniature for the Imperial Knights last week and now it's the turn of the Chaos Knights. They are getting a new Knight variant for you to slot into armies and use on the tabletop in games of Warhammer 40,000.

Chaos Knight Tyrant - Warhammer 40K

Chaos Knight Ruinator // Warhammer 40,000

The Knight Ruinator brings a deadly darkflame lance as its main ranged weapon of choice. Backing that up, the Knight Ruinator also has a pair of terrorpulse missile launchers that can fling armour-piercing miniatures into the midst of your enemy, rending Space Marines apart with terrible explosions. Lastly, the Knight Ruinator also brings a melee weapon in the form of the Fellbore.

Another fearsome variant for the Chaos Knights that should give you some more options when it comes to battling various foes. It's always handy to have an arsenal of weapons to choose from. Rules for the new Knight Ruinator will come out as part of the new Codex: Chaos Knights, which is on the horizon.

Codex Chaos Knights - Warhammer 40K

Codex: Chaos Knights // Warhammer 40,000

The new Codex: Chaos Knights will come with full background lore for the Chaos Knights as well as galleries for those seeking painting tips for working on these towering killers. You'll also find all of the Detachments and more that you need for running this rather specialised army.

As nice as the Chaos Knights are, I still don't think that they particularly fit into games of Warhammer 40,000, especially at lower points costs. I could see them being fun in much larger games but they just feel a little at odds when you're playing games at 1000 or 2000 points. To be fair, I feel the same about big vehicles and flyers!

Are you going to be picking up the Chaos Knights for Warhammer 40,000?
