Warhammer 40K’s Emperor’s Children & Aeldari Land Soon
February 25, 2025 by brennon
Games Workshop are playing host to the sinners and the results of that sin this weekend in Warhammer 40,000. Firstly, the Emperor's Children are available to pre-order starting with the Army Set, Champions Of Slaanesh.
Champions Of Slaanesh // Warhammer 40,000
The Champions of Slaanesh set comes with a good mix of the new units for your armies of The Emperor's Children. At the core of the set is the new Codex which gets the limited edition nod alongside a new set of Datasheet Cards and a new Transfer Sheet to make it easy for you to get your followers of Slaanesh looking swanky.
Whilst some of the recent Army Sets have been rather bare bones, this feels like a decent "army" to get you started with some of the basics. For starters, you have a character in the form of the Lord Exultant.
Lord Exultant // Warhammer 40,000
The Lord Exultant comes kitted out with finely wrought armour plus he has a good mixture of weapon options including the Phoenix Power Spear and the Rapture Leash. He also has four different power pack options and two head options. This means you should be able to use multiple Lord Exultants to make unique heroes for your army.
As well as the Lord Exultant, there are also two units of six Noise Marines, iconic miniatures that form the part of Emperor's Children lore.
Noise Marines // Warhammer 40,000
Each unit features one Disharmonist, which allows you to crank up the volume and blast your enemies with discordant sound waves. They all have a mixture of heads, shoulders, and "muzzles," so you can have plenty of fun with this set as a collector.
The rest of your Army Set is then made up of both Tormentors and Infractors. This gives you the ranged and close combat options for your Champions Of Slaanesh. There are twenty Chaos Space Marines which can be built however you see fit.
Tormentors // Warhammer 40,000
Infractors // Warhammer 40,000
Mix and match as you see fit so that you can create the warband that works best for you. I think this is one of the most diverse and interesting Chaos Space Marine kits that Games Workshop has done in a while with only the Night Lords rivaling it. You get plenty to play around with if you like kitbashing and converting.
That gives you a solid core of new Emperor's Children to get you started but we also mentioned the sinners! They are also getting a new release...
Combat Patrol: Aeldari
As the ones that helped birth Slaanesh into the universe, it feels apt for them to be partnered with some Emperor's Children releases by Games Workshop.
Combat Patrol: Aeldari // Warhammer 40,000
This is the new Combat Patrol which comes with miniatures for Games Workshop's cutdown version of Warhammer 40,000 however it also works as a good booster for those building Aeldari armies. The set comes with a Spiritseer to guide five Wraithblades alongside a bevvy of Aspect Warriors with the Warp Spiders and two sets of Dire Avengers.
As someone who already has a lot of wraiths for their Iyanden army but would be happy to get a new Spiritseer and those Dire Avengers for a bit of a discount, I will probably be getting one (if not two) of these sets.
What do you make of the new Emperor's Children Army Set? It feels like a decent stepping stone into Warhammer 40,000 compared to other boxed sets that Games Workshop has designed. You also have that new Combat Patrol for the Aeldari on the way.

Thexy pink marinesth….
I ordered a box of pretty Thexy pink spathe marinethes last night …
I was surprised the limited codex with the 1/4 Chaos chip wasn’t out today, though. Weird release timelines.
