These look really good but why they chose a 3:1 ratio for Militia to Regulars in the Patriot stuff is a mystery to me.
Ive been holding off doing this conflict at a smaller scale for a couple of years in anticipation of this. Although its a mainly infantry war so lots of the same looking minis
Looking forward to getting my hands on this. I’ve enjoyed the napoleonic sets. I wonder what comes next? I’d like to see a borodino or austerlitz set to bring in Austria and Russia but I gave a feeling it will be the anglo zulu war which I will have no issue with. These are wonderful anyway..
Interesting, certainly good to see this period coming to the fore.. did anyone mention its the 250th Anniversaries beginning this year?? Not one i’ll be getting behind personally as ive got 28mm AWI for Rebels&Patriots based to show their more contemporary ‘loose files’ formations and 6mm for the larger battles. Anyone interested in the period and chatting more pls do message or look up Redcoats and Revolutionaries Living History Group as well as the excellent recreated 33rd Foot ‘The Pattern’ to see top notch reenactors of the period around Britain!
Always tempted to jump into one of these Epic Battles sets, though is it just me, or are the line infantry a little *too* uniform? Feels like they could have done with some very minor alterations eg to the angle the musket is held?
I know what you mean. The cavalry also seems very samey. As in: one sculpt.
The Pike and Shotte Musketmen are a good example of that
