Grab Gravediggers Expansion For Steamforged’s Warmachine
May 8, 2025 by brennon
Steamforged Games are still taking pre-orders for an expansion to their Warmachine collection and the forces of Cygnar. The Gravediggers Auxiliary Expansion can be snapped up, featuring a Warcaster, some fearsome Warjacks and plenty more.
Cygnar Gravediggers Auxiliary Expansion // Warmachine
Much like with the existing Core Expansion for the Gravediggers, this comes with a decent force that will allow you to play mid-size games of Warmachine. The difference with this set is that it introduces some unique variants that will tweak your tactics and give you a little bit more to think about compared to the core elements in the other set.
Colonel Allison Jakes // Warmachine
This particular set is led by Allison Jakes, who brings her own brand of surgical strikes to the tabletop. The other twist to this set is the introduction of sonic weapons as used by the Beaker and some of the other experimental weapons found amongst the range.
Beaker - Character Heavy Warjack // Warmachine
As well as that, you're able to airdrop the Raider (Light Warjack) into the heat of the action to deal with infantry hunkered down on objectives. Argo Brock then leads your Commandos behind enemy lines to deliver a killing blow.
Captain Argo Brock // Warmachine
The full contents of the box are as such...
- Colonel Allison Jakes (Warcaster)
- Gravedigger Commandos (Unit)
- Commando Officer (Command Attachment)
- Captain Argo Brock (Character Solo)
- Beaker (Character Heavy Warjack)
- Raider (Light Warjack / Heavy Airdrop)
- Fuel Canister (Light Airdrop)
You get a solid set of miniatures in this set for making a coherent force where all of the elements complement each other. I do like this about what Steamforged have been doing with these new releases for Warmachine. You get a sense that you could pick up one of the boxed sets and have a good time with it, rather than finding ways to fix it.
Auxiliary Expansion Miniatures // Warmachine
These miniatures are available to pick up right now so if you're looking to either start out with the Gravediggers or perhaps supplement what you already have, you've got plenty to get stuck into.
Are you going to be signing up alongside the Gravediggers?

Gravediggers and not one of them is armed with a tactical spade? (aka Klappspaten).
I’m getting *real* concerned that I’ll be getting back into Cygnar. Especially as Best Girl Jakes is back and having gotten a few promotions under her belt in the intervening years of the setting.
(what can I say – I’m one of the few folks who persevered with the Warmachine videogame and actually finished it, with Jake’s journey being kinda fun to follow)
Wow, those prices are eye-watering for what you get.
Idk, $150usd for 10 minis, two of them large warjacks doesn’t actually hit me that hard for some reason. It is still a lot of money but $15/mini sits better than some of the other mini prices out there.
Last time I bought a Cygnar starter army it cost around a £100 and contained more stuff. Admitedly that was a while ago. I’m sure I have a Jakes miniature in my army, but probably a captain back then.
Haven’t played WM since 1st edition, metal models. I’ve since moved to cooperative and narrative games, so TBH, it’s unlikely I’ll pick up the current edition.
That said, I’ll get these and find a use or make a way for them to deploy on the tabletop. They’re too cool to pass up.
Argo look fabulous the other’s are looking good for the gaming table’s
