A Little Dry Ice Can Transform Your Gaming Experience

As if perfectly timed with the guys' recent discussion about game ambiance, I stumbled upon this really fantastic picture on Facebook. The company Warzone40K makes custom mats and tables, but this is less about that aspect and more about their clever use of dry ice (handled safely of course), to completely elevate the look and feel of this gaming table.

Dry ice fog effect

It took a regular game, that probably looked fantastic by itself, and essentially gave it a cinematic feel by adding drama and an eerie feeling to the board with the fog. Why stop there? You could take this a step further and some interesting lighting and maybe a low sound track in the background, and find yourself in a truly immersive game experience!

We've added a video above about the dangers of dry ice so you don't just go trying this willy nilly!

Has anyone incorporated a fog effect like this in their game and how did you use it?
