Team Yankee Unboxing: Kampfgrupper Müller
November 15, 2016 by dignity
Justin and John are bringing back the 80s metal again with some more Team Yankee from Battlefront Miniatures with the Kampfgrupper Müller set.
Click here to check out the Team Yankee Leopard Week.
These tanks are great on the table and we've played around with them a few times now. We can say they're best in groups as they work well as a team but are somewhat of a glass cannon by themselves.
Have you used the Kampfgrupper Müller in your games?

Another great video, @johnlyons and @dignity .
I recently won my “Golden Button” painting my Leopard 2s for Team Yankee, and believe me when I say the miniatures deserve at least half the credit! 😀 Great kits, with none of the resin / metal issues I’ve experienced in the past.

One thing in particular . . .
Whoever designed how the TRACKS are attached to the SPRUES deserves the Nobel Prize for Science. Usually with tank kits, the attachments to the sprue seems to be BETWEEN the track segments, so you have to go in there with a hobby knife and dig extra flash out from between track segments. What a pain.
Here, the attachment points are along the side of the track, and attach flush with the track segment (rather than between). The attachment segment is the same width as the track segment, too, so with one clean cut with a hobby knife, the track segment is flawlessly cut away from the sprue and you can’t even tell where it was attached. And my the time you paint it, you’ll never see it at all.
The turret attachment also allows the turret to turn, without the turret falling off too easily in game play, all without magnets. The only tiny issue here is because the plastic tolerances are to tight, once you prime and paint your miniature the turret peg might have a slight issue fitting into the pivot-well in the hull. But this is a tiny problem, easily fixed by lightly spinning a hobby knife in the hull well to slightly enlarge it. Don’t do it too much, though. 😀
Don’t know about the choppers yet, but the Leopard 2 kits are very highly recommended.
they look great the tank is a beast but would need to be in a real fight.
Nice kit reviews and interesting tactics chat. I really do like the German forces, probably my favourites so far.
Dunno if its on Battlefront miniatures but i can certainly say it is supposed to be “Kampfgruppe Müller”. The “r” doesn´t make sense in german. Great vid though!
Just a quick observation, shouldn’t that read “Don’t know” or “Do not know” instead of “Dunno?” And shouldn’t that “i” be capitalized (or “capitalised” depending on what side of the water you’re on)?
Aren’t needling grammar and spelling corrections fun? Oh, wait, I guess they’re not. Given the amount of content these guys roll out, I think we can give them a little leeway here and there. Just an opinion, of course.
Funny 🙂
