The finals for the Beasts Of War 3rd Annual Awards are going to be hitting tonight with a livestream starting at 9pm GMT right here on Beasts Of War.
We're going to be going through each of the different categories and looking at the finalists in turn before announcing the winners.
As well as that we'll be catching up with you folks in the community and discussing your comments throughout the night via the chat on Twitch.

Them’s ‘Morning Suits’* … not Black Tie! That guy in the closing rental shop saw someone coming…
*not to be confused with ‘Mourning suits’ – that’s a different Black tie. It’s a formalwear labrynth nightmare!
They look like dinner suits but with morning suit waist coats and ties.
Next year we’ll post pics of our undies for your approval as well before hand 😉
Guys, you need to lose the waistcoats. Either black waistcoats or coloured cummerbunds. For a small fee I will happily be in charge of your wardrobe department next year 😉

Had difficulties watching live in BoW and TwitchTV – only ended up seeing about half an hour live – on boardgames and card games. Will the show be available to watch on Saturday?

Good show as usual fellas, I’ll have to catch up on the rest though, I bowed out at midnight lol. And definitely get on having people visit next years show, I’ll pop over there again, even if it does take me 16 hours to get there by boat and car lol.
I had the occasional technical hiccup but I’ve managed to persevere to the end!

The last award was real close one and I had difficulties to make my mind up myself when I was casting my vote.
I gave it to Spectre Operations in the end..but every single one of them would have been a worthy winner!

Seriously, “Waterworld” is not a bad movie……( It’s not academy awards materiel but it stands up well as a post apocalyptic view of what if..) IMHO
Have had to watch this on and off during the day. What a great show. Have seen many network TV award shows much less professionally presented and produced. Even long suffering better half loved the Voov Cleeco moment.

The worst category for me to pick for was Best miniatures Game, as i own 3 out of the 5 i found it very hard to choose. I can`t even remember who i picked, but i thought all out war the walking dead would of won.
I like the idea of you having some community members over for next years award`s, and i for one would like to be there, but i`m not a “Penguin”.

Thanks so much for the feedback and comments everyone. It was definitely a very big planning and technical challenge to go with the live show but I think it went well bar some eardrum hurt and wardrobe malfunctions/preferences 😛
A big highlight for me was seeing us break 500 simultaneous viewers across Twitch, YouTube and Periscope and that’s not including those who watched along on Facebook too. Already looking forward to what we can do next year to keep building on what has become a simply wonderful community driven event 🙂 Az
Got to catch this live for once but didn’t get a comment in since I got pulled away at the end, by hunger, and didn’t make it back. I’ll echo the sentiment, this live stream went so well it seemed like a long episode of the weekender or something. Quite impressive! Also fancy, with all the formal wear and cultist lights and such. Anyhow it was very enjoyable and it was fun to see so many personalities; might have done with a smidge more Lance but I get the sense he may have been a little bit busy with the technical aspects.
Great show guys, unfortunately my internet kept dropping out and I fell asleep during the live stream, but I finished watching it the next morning.
Finally got to watch this all, starting at 06:30 on Sunday! Great show, excellent nominees and worthy winners, congratulations to all! As for the BoW crew, again, excellent!! I particularly enjoyed the freshness Az brings to the show and it was great to get Ben & Sam together, live on the show, they brought a good mix of objective opinions and humour to the show. Well done everyone.

I felt less strongly about quite a few of the categories this year, but it was still a really enjoyable night’s entertainment. If you could get guests in for a live show next year, that would add to the hilarity and sense of this being a really special community occasion.

How many actual nominations did you guys have sort through to break it down to 5 for each catagorie ? And how many of us cast votes in the finals . Bet the percentage of voters compared to community members was higher than what most countries manage to attract for their federal elections . And just to say it again , well done guys

The best Christmas film: The Snowman. I know perhaps many of you won’t think of it as a film and perhaps put it in a different category, but technically it is a film and so deserves a mention. The Snowman is about as Christmassy as a film can get.
It’s a Wonderful Life or GTFO. Christmas Film fight – it’s on
It’s A Wonderful Life is a worthy entry into the best Christmas film category, but The Snowman is a avatar of Christmas in film form. I shall watch both this year. It’s A Wonderful Life i will watch during Christmas. The Snowman i will watch as the start of Christmas.
Also, someone gets shot at in It’s A Wonderful Life for running away after yelling and shaking someone. It’s a slight flaw, and it’s from the USA of course, so that’s probably quite normal from what i can see in the UK, but it does mar an otherwise splendid film. The Snowman has no flaws.

I’m late getting to this due to work and college projects but I’m so glad I finally got to watch this because I just found out that I got a Community Golden Button back in February for the Carcassonne storage box I made and I didn’t even know!!! Absolutely made my night!
