From Fearlight Games…the good folks that have brought us Baker Street: Roleplaying in the World of Sherlock Holmes and Hood: Swashbuckling Adventures in Sherwood…comes a new sci-fi game to Kickstarter, The Terror on Starbase X – A Social Deduction Game.

The Terror on Starbase X is a social deduction game for 5 to 10 players, where each player has a job or role on a space station. Most humans are loyal and want to survive, but a few humans have had their minds broken by the Alien and want it to succeed. One person is the alien, having lost all humanity.

Players take turns being the acting Commanding Officer and nominate someone to be the Mission Specialist. The Mission Specialist draws cards and chooses what to pass the Commanding Officer.

As the Commanding Officer, you better know who to trust. If you’re a loyal human, you need to figure out who the Space Marine needs to shoot, get the Communications Array going and get a distress signal out, or power up the Shuttlepod and escape. Unless you really are the Alien or an Alien Sympathizer, in which case, you don’t think that those Mission Objectives really need to be going into effect…

This Kickstarter is pretty simple as far as pledges go.  A $25 (+shipping) pledge nets you the physical game, a print & play download (for those that can’t wait for the physical game to arrive), and any unlocked stretch goals.
