First playtest on the final Battlegroup book from the original series we started back in 2012… this last book will cover the entire Italian campaign and is one we have saved till last as its our favourite.

Early days, so a quick 500 point Flanking Attack battle during the fighting on Sicily… turned out to be a solid win for the US Forces!

These days it’s getting increasingly rare to see a WW2 game that doesn’t contain Tiger Is and IIs along with 88s across the table. Battles get much more interesting with the actual units and equipment (from the OOBs) used within the theatre.

Excellent painting (as always Piers), I DO however wonder just how much storage is needed for your 20mm collection (as you seem to have collected and painted armies/units for all years of the war across all theatres (along with all the various models of tanks)?

Tigers are a bit boring…

Panzer IIIs make.for a much more interesting game…

Figures all stored in cases, 8 of them, and vehicles in map drawers which also hold up the table… 🙂
