About the Project
Evil is festering amid the ruins of the Jade Abbey. The daemonic warlord Gelgus Pust seeks to poison the wondrous fount of life-giving water known as the Everspring, which lies beneath the ruined stronghold. Magically imbued with restorative properties, the Everspring grants vitality to the surrounding lands. Yet Pust would see it befouled with the toxic gifts of his master – Nurgle, Lord of Plagues. Only an ill-matched band of heroes and sellswords stands between the Prince of Sores and his final victory. To reach him, they must navigate a landscape that has been moulded and twisted according to Nurgle’s vile whims.

Daemon Prince Gelgus Pust
The Daemon Prince Gelgus Pust is a grotesque and monstrous creature whose corpulent body is riddled with parasites. Once a pious man, his ambition saw him fall into Nurgle’s clutches. He relishes despoiling the land, particularly the pure waters of Ghyran, where he makes his lair.
Mulgoth the Cleaver
Pust’s number one lackey, a bitter and nihilistic soul who hates beauty and purity almost as much as he loves snapping spines with his mutated arm. Rumour has it he was once a knight of nobility, who was shunned when he contracted the Weeping Pox, which might explain why he hunts down heroes with such grim purpose. When he has someone in his grip, he will methodically hack away at them until he’s satisfied that just punishment has been meted out.
Cankerborn
The Cankerborn are summoned through the desecration of the land itself. Born from corrupted realm-spirits, they blight the earth much like Nurgle’s Rot ravages flesh. This foetid pair of daemons are horrendously resilient, tainting the very soil around them with their contagion.
Blight templers
Blight Templars are mighty mortal champions of Nurgle who have willingly absorbed disease and pestilence that would destroy a lesser man in an attempt to prove their devotion to Grandfather Nurgle. They’re unstoppable battering rams oozing with unspeakable fluids, armed with an array of hideous, rusted weapons.
Belga the Cystwitch
Belga the Cystwitch appears to be a single vile creature with a grub-like body, but closer inspection shows that two of her sisters have melded into her body, making her a living coven – delightful. Nurgle loves the number three almost as much as seven, so you’ll see tri-lobe motifs pop up everywhere in Darkwater. She conducts vile rituals with her cauldron
Shaman Foulhoof
Shaman Foulhoof primal proclivities see him dripping tainted blood onto the land from a sacrificial heart.
