Back to the future…Into the misty past. This terrain will work with other periods of history, if Napoleonics are not your thing. My eye has been drawn to some of the lovely epic scale ancients from Warlord games. The only drawback with these figures is the difficulty of cutting these bases down to say, 40mm. I might just leave them at 60mm wide. The 80mm wide hexes will still work. Modelling some Greek temples or a well crafted hill fort would definitely set the scene. The 10mm ranges from Wargames Atlantic look more flexible for different base sizes. Commands and Colours Samurai Battles, Medieval or Ancients will all work. And if Fantasy Battles are your cup of mead then 10mm fantasy is there for you. I have changed the colours on some of the epic figures to make different armies. Some Warlord Prussians are now Russians. My Pavloskis are from the AWI hessians set, as are my Austrian Grenadiers. Less roast beef, more sausage! What I love about this hobby…make and do and being imaginative!
