So having decided to take a break from this project , just painting something else for a wee while. Naturally Pendraken decided to make good on the miniatures I had ordered from Ironclad. I thought I had only ordered 20 or so.
I spent my birthday weekend cleaning and priming over 130 steampunk miniatures.

On the downside, the casting on some of the miniatures was quite poor. Can’t help feeling they may have been rushed. Thankfully it was only a handful.

The new miniatures have given me some ideas for some skirmish scenarios as well as the big battle stuff.

As always the 3D printer has been chuntering away. I treated myself to a 6×4 beach landing mat, having some ideas about a coastal kerfuffle.

I printed some landing barges that should comfortably fit movement trays in, if required.

Good sir, your landing craft lacks a mandatory rubber duck shape. Please be advised you will be subject to penalty if this is not addressed. You may also mitigate this matter if you happen to provide parties on board with appropriate inflatable floaty wings and donuts. 😆
