I am perhaps preaching to the converted here, but in case anyone else stumbles upon this searching for info on the Baron Wars, Wargames Illustrated August 2019 has a rather fun but thought provoking article called “An Early 13th Century Guide to Invading England” by editor and owner of the magazine, Dan Faulconbridge.

There is also a very good painting tutorial by Ben Macintyre for the Prince Louis figure that @avernos posted above.

My copy of the magazine also came with a sprue of Warlord’s Praetorian Guard, so a few bonus figures for some SPQR.
