You’re both tight @Robert and @lawnor my model is anything but right and not at all a “be all end all”. Still I think it gives a sense of “scale”. I didn’t include rules for both because I don’t play either but just for fun you can multiply the numbers I’ve come to by the number of pages in the rulebook.  So Ff 1488 x 100 and 40k 18900 x 280. It’s only getting worse. But (and that’s my main takeaway here) it confirms my belly feeling that changes in a small game like FF are waaaaay easier and beta testing much more viable for everything that with something as big and convoluted like 40k
