And definitely change that ‘Notify me of follow-up replies via email’ so that the default is ‘Don’t notify‘. Tedious having to uncheck that box. If I want to follow up a conversation I go back to it when I get time.

Objection. I am quite the opposite. Best way would be a switch in the user profile that you can turn on and off for yourself. Like in Forums 😉
