A lot of small to medium sized companies will go bust because they can’t afford to ‘wait’ until idiot in charge calms down and starts acting like an actual politician who does not treat negotiations as a zero sum equation with a winner and a loser.

I doubt he even has another plan. I bet that he is managing the USA in the exact same manner he manages his business.
Heck, he’s only a millionaire because he had more money before and not because he actually made any … (he managed to bankrupts a casino … because he really doesn’t know what he’s doing and when to let smarter people make the choices)

The only ones who will profit are the ones with the really big bank accounts who can afford to play the long game. These guys know how to push his buttons so they will goat him into doing his stupid trick while hoping to dodge his angry rants.

The damage has been done and it will take decades to fix this, provided Trump leaves office at all … (he’s hinted several times that he doesn’t want to let go and is likely to follow his rolemodel Putin).

Brexit was chaos, but in the end it stabilized because both teams were trying to play by the rules of the game.

Trump is playing by his own rules … and he changes them whenever it suits his mood.
He’s only focussed on short term results.
It’s Calvin Ball for politics.
There is no ‘end’, unless there is a rebellion that ends all of this.
We’re not there yet.
I do hope the Americans wake up and realise that they need to stop the tyranny from DC for real this time.
Protests will only do so much as they also rely on polticians doing their job and listening to the judges when they make a ruling.
Heck … the entire system relies on politicians not ignoring the rules of play.

And instead of waiting for whatever chaos this all brings to our hobby … why not get creative ?
There was hobby *before* companies like GW.
We didn’t need to buy stuff to have fun.
We may need to learn how to be creative again and become less reliant on convenient products that are ready to be enjoyed once unboxed.
Go back to the roots of the hobby that is a lot of DIY crafting.
Open those old rule books and use them.
It really isn’t *that* long ago when many of the products we have didn’t exist, but people still had a hobby.
Use it as a time to detox yourself from the cult of shiny.
It’s the Spring clean Challenge ffs.
Dig into that big mountain of potential that a lot of us have at home and rediscover the gems hidden within.
