Thank you @sundancer (Sorry I haven’t been around as much – between work and 4 kids being off for the summer I’m just totally burnt out)

I actually still remember this day (well I think it was actually the day before but hey) myself and Lloyd were in the Weatherspoon’s Pub in Coleraine and I was excitedly laying out plans for ‘Our Own Project!!!!’

How I’d re-discovered this Niche, where the products were beautiful, the games were technical and its was bound to be filled with people like us, yet its presence on the web really sucked and was at least 5 years or more behind the current trends.

17 Years has went by in a flash, and everything has changed. The industry is now pretty much a powerhouse and still growing, our community (not just here but the whole thing) is larger and more diverse than almost any community outside of video gaming. I’ve made friends, lost friends, gained a wife and 4 children, moved 4 times, built a massive wooden studio, ate bugs, laughed, cried, thrown temper tantrums, felt pride, felt fear, felt exhausted, felt confused by a changing world, felt inadequate, but never stopped feeling excited about all of this.

What a ride to have been on when you think about it. I could have just robbed a bank, got caught and still have been out in less time lol.

Here’s to 17 years folks, thanks for the journey.
