Pledge of the week… try not to be crap GM tomorrow.

I know what you mean @limburger as I live alone and I can call my culinary skills survival cooking… in the sense that I have never given myself food poisoning.

I used to live on tinned and frozen meals, but I’m trying to budget better now and make an effort to cook fresh ingredients when I can, but I still rely on frozen and tinned for some meals.

Sunday lunch is a meal shared with my sister and she usually cooks it. Meat, potatoes, two veg… the traditional british sunday.

I tend to cook midweek for us and my efforts often involve pasta.

I do occasionally cook myself a curry with an assortment of fresh ingredients stir fried with something meaty and throw a jar of something like a jalfrezi, or balti in. Rice or noodles with that. Not usually a weekend meal, but the question was about making an effort too.

And there are times when you just want comfort food and that does not require much effort;
