Adds showing despite settings say no.

So as of today I am seeing this ad:

Please see the “TURN OFF” button… when clicked it takes me to the “why be a CoG” pitch page with paypal link…. but I already pay. And have them turned off.

This isn’t cool guys. I know it’s your business but when you sell me a membership on the promise to be able to disable a portion of the adds (and it is only a portion let’s be honest) then please keep your end of the deal. It’s especially annoying since it’s an add for Wayland. Don’t do this to us guys.

Not any more Lloyd. But at the same time I had a temporary glitch in the project system that made everything have a black background. I changed the browser from dark to light mode and all was white. Changing back to dark mode was black again. And after another forced refresh all was white again… and at that point the add also was gone… someone did maintenance on the WP theme maybe? Seems to be gone for now it seems. Mark cased closed. Thank you 🙂

Unfortunately not solved for me. I still see the adds, which is especially annoying on my tablet, in portrait mode the add takes nearly whole screen.

Thanks for the answer @tgu3, unfortunately I still see the adds. I tried opening the page on several different devices and refreshed more times than I care to admit, but I still see the adds. BTW, I also noticed that some adds are not really relevant anymore, like when I click on Infinity news today, I see the TagRaid week background and huge add about their KS which closed more than two months ago…

I think the ad on the top isn’t part of the “don’t show ads” part… those have a link above them saying “ad turn of” You can see that if you embiggen my first picture. That “big one” on the start page is a constant “reminder” of show sponsors, paid content etc…

Ohhh… I feel silly now, I somehow managed to not notice the big add previously. Is this one particularly big or my perception just widened?

Anyway, I don’t see other adds, thank you for your answers and sorry for the mess.

No, they are usually just tied in with different things like Conquest when there is a Conquest themed week. So usually it’s a game/Kickstarter you see (and ignore). This time it’s an ad for the preorder but within Wayland… that just makes it look “out of place” and too much like an ad.
