So if people enjoyed the classic D&D cartoon, and frankly you all should, you may know they never got home, a final episode was written but never filmed.

In 2006 a radio show version of the script was recorded by fans, including the voice actress for Sheila.

A group of fans/amateur animators have taken this and used it for a fan edit with original footage from the series to finally bring the show to an end.

They have amended the ending of the show as it was left open for a 4th season, apart from this it is presented as intended for the first time… enjoy

So. Wait…. Dungeon Master was keeping a bunch of kids hostage, against their will, in a terrifying dream world, for his own selfish reasons? What an utter arsehole. Child abducting, narcissistic arsehole.

    😉

That was all kinds of great 🙂 They finally got home after all these years.

Wow – brilliant – thanks for letting us know. I would never have known about this and always lamented the fact they never finished the show. It was one of my favourites as a kid.

Humm, yeah, they probably got accused of murdering Presto when they got back.

“Oh sure, he’s in a land with Dungeons & Dragons in it”

    Nice!

    Thanks for sharing @avernos

I’ll be passing this on to some of my former players. We all used to watch that show back in the day.

That was a pretty dark episode for a kid cartoon … but then they could do such things back then.

@lloyd they do have some explaining to do , but unless it involved time travel they would have to explain their abscence regardless. It’s the standard problem for a lot of shows where the heroes finally ‘return home’.
I think The Hobbit solved it best, but they didn’t show that in the movie-trilogy. 🙁

They might arrive back in the real world at the same time they left.

Thanks for that link. That’s some closure after all those years.

But they leave the D&D realm to likely be confronted with the nightmare of police investigations, accusations and psychoanalysis as they try to explain Presto’s whereabouts. Out of the frying pan and into the fire
