I’ve bought loads of stuff off Temu, although mostly modelling materials rather than miniatures, but there are some decent hard plastic miniatures carry cases on there. I have bought a couple of 3D printed models, more to gauge the quality as much as anything. I have never had any issues with orders arriving, in most cases they arrived much faster than expected. Biggest issue for me was scale – it’s a bit hit and miss so I probably won’t be buying any more models from them.
Things are what you see in them. Star Wars to me is an escape from a mundane day to day life. A chance to see a world where the good guys win instead to being part of the evil empire of man that we live in now.
Some people like to watch soap operas. Some people like to watch horror movies and be scared. Some people like a bit of fantasy.
That escape is why I read books, watch movies and play RPG’s, board games, wargames etc.
@onlyonepinman – They usually give the size, but it can be a bit tricky. I’ve bought a few minis that I thought were going to be in the 28-32-ish mm range but turned out to be 54 mm. No biggie, I have 54s also and sometimes you want something larger to paint anyway. What’s impressive is their packaging. Most models come in individual boxes, crammed full of cushioning material – which can also be used for wargaming, of course – some of them even come in rigid plastic frames with cling wrap holding the mini in place. Good packaging is important, especially because the postal service has definitely not improved over the past 20 years or so. Many other companies could learn a thing or two from Temu when it comes to protecting items during shipping.
