It’s always the question “what will run out first? Money, space or sanity”

    Sanity is over rated.

@danlee cool models. Large projects completed always get the steam going to keep onto the next cool thing. Good luck with your next models.

@limburger Flying Circus action and high fidelity graphics are very good. I agree with the sentiment of beyond sight engagement. It just doesn’t feel like engaging in combat.

Now, the worst case scenario for hobby intervention on yourself would be to play Santa. Make your way down to the FLGS and start giving the unnecessary models good homes to young gamers. You can say you want something, buy do you need it if you won’t play a system or army? Forget older people who have income to buy masses of models. Foster the young to keep a tradition of hobby. Start intro games and painting clinics that aren’t in GW stores. (Do they really need free volunteers to push plastic crack?)

@grantinvanman space is a premium and it just means you need to reshuffle things in order to get them to fit.

Everything else seems to run out before sanity or is it that sanity goes and the rest follows?

I have been given a commission that I will photo as my entry for this month’s painting competition. Its a WIP so nothing yet. A bits box dive and some small scratchbuild will make this good.

    Yes

    A bits box dive

Why am I thinking of a hobby version of Scrooge McDuck, swimming is a giant box full of tabletop bits? His first bit being on display somewhere under protective glass.

Perhaps because you’re insane? All those sharp sprue edges… that’s a nasty way to bleed out!

    *muahahahaha*

    It’s bits, not sprues!

I keep the bits on sprues until I need them.

@horati0nosebl0wer I was kind of tempted … but then I saw the cost (70+ Euro for an expansion makes GW pricing seem sane).
I would have to buy the core game (IL2-Stalingrad) and buy 2 of the ‘expansions’ to get the most out of it as the campaign mode isn’t part of the ‘Flying Circus Volume 1’ …

As much as I’d love to play a proper flightsim again … that’s stuff is a bit too expensive for my taste.
I loved to play Red Baron back in the day in the campaign mode. Getting challenged to duels by an enemy ace during the campaign was fun.

It’s kind of amazing that games like this can survive at all.

New storage space is pretty much always filled by the time you get to buying it, unless you find a way to get rid of things you own (and even then it’s never enough to solve the problem).

We have had a suspicious lack of music in this thread … so I will fix this by introducing you to this :

    And this :

    // — edit —

I think Valve noticed my interest … the winter sale has started and there’s a tasty discount to be had.
I might have to reconsider my priorities.
Flying Circus bundle from 300 Euro down to 87

With Warlord cancelling the Soviet Starterset for K’47 (and me getting a refund of sorts from Wayland Games) there’s more things to buy too.
