October 12, 2019 at 9:45 pm #1446781Had two really fun games with @LordSanes today. Lost at Flames of War, won at Kings of War and thankfully had nothing to do with the sinking of a UBoot.
At the train station watching drunk people. It is amusing.

- What is, in your experience and opinion, the most balanced game?
Are we talking just wargames? One of my favourite board games that I think the balance is great on is Zertz.
Now wargames, I think balance is like trying to count angels on a pinhead. Guild Ball in the early days perhaps? Epic 40,000 was pretty great for balance.
- Have you ever play tested a game, gave feedback and if so, did it change anything? Tell us!
I’ve been privy to early views of content for Vampire: the Masquerade 5th ed, and feedback has led to changes in some of the layout, or picking up on editing issues. Obviously playtesting for Noble Armada 3e (but then I co-designed that too!)
- Has any update, errata, rules update totally broken a game for you personally? If so, what was it?
Warmachine and Hordes 3e initially totally screwed Skorne and my may army pretty crap. They did fix it though.
October 13, 2019 at 12:25 pm #1446887Happy Sunday OTT’ers 🙂
Well I got out of the house today and was planning to start the paint work on Lake Town. But we paid a visit to the car boot sale this morning (lol its my go to place to buy shoes, as I get steel toe capped trainers etc for a fiver lol)
And Max found this for his Imperial Fists Army!!!! (Guy gave it to him for 50p Bargin!)

That is a proper imperial Fist transport right there lol
So Im taking a few mins to prep it and prime it. (Prep – hair dryer to take the stickers off, then get some colour on it)

So distracted as usual – but all for a good cause…
We’ll see if I manage to get some work on Lake Town done! (I may be just grabbing at other projects to avoid working on it – if I find that’s the case I may we’ll put the whole thing on the bazaar or ebay)
October 13, 2019 at 12:26 pm #1446888@Robert @LordSanes Did you guys make the trip up to the Visitors Centre?? Sorry I missed you guys!
October 13, 2019 at 12:46 pm #1446892@warzan yes! Had a really fun day. Good to see a D&D session and some 40k being played as well. Long day though, left the house at 7.30am and home at about 11.20pm. Think @LordSanes and myself will try and make it a monthly thing. Have planned games of SPQR next – then Gerry can teach us Clash of Spears (we might have to ask him first!)
Also can you give Tom a big cuddle for me – he really is a superstar.
October 13, 2019 at 2:12 pm #1446911So I will have to call it a day, but I’ll leave this to dry now and I can come back to it later 🙂
Did a couple of small mods on it (Added the main weapon from a spare sprue)
I can’t go mad as the kids will likely just break the parts off!

Happy Weekend everyone!

October 13, 2019 at 4:45 pm #1446932@warzan don’t start getting big gunz envy when your little ones get all the big bits XD
I was at a hobby fair with the family today and got some supplies.
