About the Project

This is my Dark Angels 5th battle company from around the 13th Black Crusade era, so before the Primaris heresy. It started out as my half of the Dark Vengeance box back in the day and has been growing into a full battle company ever since. After a couple of years of this project being dormant as I struggled with 8th edition 40k. I am now re-imagining the project, re-painting the army in a grimdark style and finishing it off before the proper standard space marine is completely eradicated in current GW lore. The army will be for 7th edition 40k, I may try it in 10th at some point if I can make a legal list, but the focus is 7th edition and 8th edition if needed.

Squad 4 for my Dark Angels has been re-based from their 25mm bases to the 32mm bases like the rest of the army has. These models are from the Dark Vengeance box set.

Over the last 2 days I have been nursing the transfers on, first one and then the second over that on half of squad 7 for my Dark Angels. 2 men of that half can’t have transfers on their shoulder pads.

After about an hour of doing the details on my assault squad, came to the conclusion that I should do the weathering after the transfers and before the detailing. ? So now the shoulder pads have a coat of gloss varnish drying on them to prepare them for the transfers.
