A small aluminium tube I got for making turnbuckles

Threaded with shedded dog fur (I have a heavily malting terrier… not good for painting)

Super glued at the base then trimmed to fit

I’m trying to make mirrors, partly for a base and potentially vehicles etc,

Take 1 tomato puree tube, I used a couple of grits of sand paper then polished with Brasso.

Upon experimentation it’s entirely possible to just use brasso it will take longer but the metal will be less scratched

Images seem to indicate the rear and left hand walls were wooden, this would explain how the ammo shed damaged the bunker, I’ll put a lean to shed on the left and wooden stairs behind

On the Morning of the 17th of September citizens of Arnhem witnessed a British aircraft diving on Arnhem road bridge. It’s target was a 2cm Flak gun positioned atop a bunker on the bridge. Whilst the gun was destroyed the Bunker underneath would remain to cause problems for the men of 2PARA. after the initial attempt to seize the far side of Arnhem bridge was repulsed by fire from the bunker a second attempt would be made that night with support of a flame thrower. climbing to the attic of an adjacent house engineers hacked a loop hole through the end wall in order to use the flame thrower. firing on the bunker they hit an ammunition shed beside it neutralizing the bunker but igniting the fresh paint on the bridge preventing further action to seize the bridge.

The young gentleman appears to be stood over a bust water pipe, or the pin slipped so I’ll use it. I’m thinking of basing it as burnt rubble and sand effect with a gloss varnish in places for the burst pipe
