I am working on a Blood Angel captain for the Blood Angel player I see most weekends at OTT.

I decided that its probably a good idea to go with the “Smash Captain” load out, and wanted to make him quite unique.

Progress so far.. I’m planing on going with the gold armour look and am waiting on some of the vallejo liquid gold paint to arrive so I can try it out!

Sunday update!

been doing a bit of hobby today along with some Football Manager!

Todays work was the red base coating on a couple of Blood Angel assault marines.

Started off with the back primer, followed by airbrushing of Mephiston Red, followed by a top down spray of evil Sunz Scarlet …

Having the yellow helmets for the assault marines I decided to keep them off the bodies and spray prime them white separately.

Sunday update!

A technique  I used a long time ago for my Eldar was using a yellow shade over a white primer to try and get a nice yellow colour.

I delivered my first random act of well getting rid of my models and bits I’m never going to use, while trying to benefit someone at the local club!

I’ve had these Genestealers sat around for ages! They are not going to be used by me so I finished them off up to a table top standard and handed them to the local Tyranid player! He seemed happy enough with them so that makes me happy!

Oh and also clears a small space for more things on my shelf!

My second project for one of the local new gamers at OTT is complete and should hopefully be delivered today..

This one is the Blood Angel smash captain thats been kitbashed and converted  to make him unique

Pretty happy how he turned out, he might have even turned out better than my version for my Blood Angels.

I did try the Vallejo Liquid Gold range of paints through my airbrush for this guy, I think they look good, but its a real change cleaning the brush afterwards compared to acrylics!

It has been a long time coming but I am finally on board with the Age of Sigmar!

I was always going to pick the Stormcast, and luckily Warren was looking the Nighthaunt, so we split a Soul Wars box!

Here has been my progress so far..

I built all the models, primed with black, then hit them from above with the white GW primer can.

With the OTT 40k weekend just around the corner, I’ve booked my place and have chosen to focus on Dark Angels.

I tried a bit of the contrast Dark Angel paint but wasn’t a fan of how it turned out, so It was back to the old fashioned Caliban Green basecoat!

Here is how my initial 3 models turned out, and I’m happy enough to follow this method for my new project!

I did use some contrast paints, the red on the bolters, flesh colour, and the leather pouches were all done with the new paint. Very happy with how they work out for those small details!

Dark Angel update!
