About the Project

Here I will rake through my box of forgotten projects and paint some of them. I'll even try and find a use for them.

I've missed a few steps out, I got carried away and forgot to take pictures. So far I've washed the body with Druchii violet and the wing membranes with carroburg crimson. Once that was dry I drybrushed the whole thing with rakarth flesh (heavier on the body and lighter on wings). I then put a final highlight by drybrushing the body lightly with pallid Wych flesh. I also painted the tongue, claws and teeth.I've missed a few steps out, I got carried away and forgot to take pictures. He’s coming on a bit. I need to varnish him and base him now.

He’s done sort of.  I need to finish the base, but I’ve not decided to what kind of foliage to put on it. I’m either going to go with the same blasted heath that I used on the Skaven, or a more traditional dead grass.

I decided my Abhorrent Archregent needed some subjects to rule over, so I had a dig in my Vampire Counts case and found a pile of ghouls. Time to whip the bases off.  Where’s my razor saw?

I’ve had this guy for almost 10 years now, and he’s never left the blister.  Actually the last time you saw him he was in the blister.

Now he’s ready to butcher some unsuspecting heroes in Warhammer Quest.  Or be the pc chaos warrior and kill some monsters.

Some more minis that have spent the better part of 10 years in a blister. Now they’re ready to join my Mordor army.

I found an old elf miniature on a shelf at my parents. It’s a limited edition gw mini from ages ago that belongs to my brother.  He says I can have it so it’s fair game. First I need to get the paint off.
