About the Project
I'm off to Ireland over Christmas to stay with the in laws so I'm going prepared. Once I get past the being social bit I have 84 Frenchman to paint. This is a challenge as I'm going to be distracted by constant food and drink but before I go home at the beginning of January I hope to have them all done.The first time I was aware of the Napoleonic wars was as a small child looking at the soldier on the cover of the old Quality Street tins. No Redcoats though all french thanks to the new box sets from Perry Miniatures.

Swiss infantry continued today but I keep getting told to take them off the kitchen table so we can eat eating turkey.

Work on the marins de guard. The box set isn't designed for making this unit but a bit of extra paint work o certain details can hide that

marines vs the Marins
Back home now and I managed to paint 60 out of the 80 I took away with me.
The marines here are painted the old fashioned way but all my French are with contrasts. I dont think it worked very well as they are to dull looking for me.
Once home I added some flags to command units but still have lots to paint.
I also destroyed my brushes and found it hard to control contrast paints
