Next batch of three Space Wolves completed and based!

with the last 3 marines well under way, I opened up the rest of that box of bits… clipped them all off the sprues and added to my bits boxes, leaving finally the Drop Pod to be made..

I have sub assembled bits and am spraying with different base colours to help speed up the painting.

I was most surprised to find this drop pod at the bottom of this box! A nice surprise of course… until i remembered how much of a pain they were to assemble!

undercoated and ready!undercoated and ready!

once I got it all assembled the door would not stay shut.. I didnt want to glue them shut as I have one like that already, and It so much nicer when you can see the full footprint on the table top!

So I decided to add a few magnets in as shown below to help.

Another very important step to help was a very slight filing down at the bottom of the doors. This helped with the clearance and the doors now shut perfectly 🙂

With all the base coating done on the drop pod, I felt it looked a little clean so I wanted to try and dirty it up a bit.

Pretty happy with how this one turned out!

Job done with it, added a few little scratches here and there and called it a day!

And with that the project is done!

Job done, really happy with how this colour turned out… Maybe I like it more than my original grey for my Space Wolves… That may prove to be a pain considering the size of the army!

Learned a good deal with this project, the resin bases I enjoyed doing, and really pushing myself to try an alternative colour scheme.
