About the Project
Short project showing off some scratch built terrain for Frostgrave. TerrainFest expansion - October 2023 This will have new terrain pieces and a revisit to Frostgrave Terrain that was lost in the Beasts of War version 1 to version 2 crossover. (The old stuff was basically on a forum topic of its own and the new version didn't support it) I haven't seen some of it out of the box in years so I hope I can spring clean it into something I can be more proud of today.

Dry brush, snow flock ... Not finished.
I drybrushed everything with a white and ocre mix to make a pale stone finish. Then hit most of the flat surfaces with Snow flock.
I am torn between having the whole length of he bridge having the sides raised but in a terrible state of repair, or making a suggestion that their used to be a roof on the thing. The defense that the Archer is stood in could definitely do with an addition of some kind. Also looking at some potential weathering for the stone because it's all a bit too poppy.Filler and extra defences
I wanted to add something to this end of the walkway with an offcut of MDF. I figure it would be a way for holders of the bridge to rain down death on people ascending the stairs.
I decided that I should try to tidy the edges of the packaging with some filler. This was done with PVA, plaster, drop of black paint and some some stones.Painting progress.
Dirty Down spray arrived from OnTableTop store (buy merch). The bigger can brand that proceeded Modelmates sprays and it's a rich dark wash that covers well.
The sides have been built up with coffee stirrers. I think they're at a good level, but If I build it up a bit more it will probably just be at the ends.
Ideas have started to flow again. Wondering whether I need a winch and ropes to get bigger items up the stairs to the crossing level. Or whether there should be the remnants of an old gate that used to close off the ladder and make ascending the stairs a death sentence if the people on the bridge wanted to protect the crossing. The build.
Lidl. The terrain generation stockists.
I find myself looking in the seasonal and special items aisles in the Lidl supermarket, because people seem to open boxes with electronic items inside and leaving the packaging all over the place. I found this big piece of packing and immediately thought of a bridge over a long since iced solid river.
