About the Project
Since I have been severely hampered with problems in my right hand and arm over the last months and not knowing if this ever gets better, I at first kind of gave up on ever doing the hobby again. But slowly the desire to paint has been coming back. In this project I am going over my process of me trying to relearn how to paint with my left hand and using some new tools to aid me in getting back in the hobby.

More Yarrick!
More work done on Yarrick and lesson learned, even though it is primed and received a base coat of acrylic paint before I put on the crackle paint, the crackle paint still pulls the strukture paste up…
I think he’s ready for shading and weathering. I did paint with my right hand today and it went okay for a bit. At least I got a lot of tiny detail bits done that I am just not yet able to do with my left hand.
More Yarrick Part 2, The Yarricking...
I did a little bit more work on Yarrick and I am fairly confident this will be the last work in progress pictures from him.
Signs of things to come.
So on to the next model. This model is going to be a bit of a proof of concept, but should still end up being a good looking model in the end.
First up, I used a gloss black lacquer primer and put on like 3 or 4 layers. Before it dried I used a toothpick to just scratch and damage the paint and then followed up with one final layer of primer and let that all cure fully.
And then it was about getting the chrome right. I was really struggling getting the chrome right, it turns out the chrome is on perfectly it is the light that messes it up. So I put the model in just the normal ambient light and it looks absolutely fantastic. The camera does not do it justice though.
Commissar Yarrick
So here is Commissar Yarrick all done, I am really happy with the result.
Chrome Drone!
Added some clear coats to my chrome Tau MV7 Marker Drone and here is a picture in both my painting light and the ambient light in which I feel the chrome just looks better.
More Metallics
After a coat of Aqua Gloss to protect the chrome on my chrome MV7 Marker Drone, I added a couple of other metallics to change up certain areas of the drone. I am having to wait for an order to come in before I can resume work on this now, but that will hopefully arrive in the coming week.
Doctors Results.
I got the results from the doctor today and I have been diagnosed with a Functional Neurological Disorder. This is what causes the tremors in my hand and my balance problems that I am struggling with now. There are more little things that I do experience that are also the result of that. Further more we are looking at some physiotherapy which may help with these problems.
I will finish the chrome Tau drone that I am working on and then call this project finished and go on to working on my other projects that I have on the go.
