Manda’s (Amachan) Hobby with Disabilities.

I have finally been able to paint again and got the weathering on my chrome MV7 Marker Drone done. The weathering sadly did take away a lot of the shine of the chrome, but that’s why this was a proof of concept. I learned a lot from it anyway. Now, just letting all the paint cure and see where I am at, close to, if not done I think.

That is my MV7 Marker Drone done as a proof of concept for doing chrome Tau. The concept needs a bit of work, but I am happy with the results overall.

And that is also the end of this project. The following projects are the projects that I am going to be working on in the foreseeable future. The links are at the bottom of this post.

My oiling up project. In this project I am going to be refining my painting style with techniques learned from the Grimdark way of painting. The goal for this is to paint historical figures in a more realistic and gritty style.

My Witcher project. In this project I am painting up the monsters and witchers from the Witcher: Old World. I also refer to this as my Old World project to confuse GW fanpeeps.

Kingdom Death Monster. In this project I am going to be repainting all of my Kingdom Death Monster models in a more Grimdark style befitting of the setting.

The Tsumugi Probe. This is a little side project that I work on occasionally in order to sculpt and paint the Tsumugi probe from Sidonia no Kishi or Knights of Sidonia in English.

I’VE BEEN ABLE TO PUT A MINIATURE TOGETHER!!! ? My hands are getting better, the next step is trying to paint and maybe I can get back into this hobby after all. ☺️

I will be picking this project back up as my hands have really improved thanks to physical therapy and LEGO. So I will see if I can paint again. I do hope so because not being able to paint and do hobby left a huge void in my life.

These are the first miniatures I bought in quite some time. I always wanted to get into Infinity and that is what is going to be my aim. Not a lot of miniatures to paint for a full game, great looking and detailed miniatures and I can just take my time getting them done. Perfect for getting back into the hobby. Nomads is going to be my main force, but since I already have some PanOceania, I am building a second force for them and they can be used as loan force to introduce people. And since I do really like the universe I may get many more forces in the future.

And that’s the 2 new models assembled. I am still needing some stuff to do the bases in the way that I want to, so I’ll have to wait for that before I can paint them. Not that I can paint in this weather anyway, but I do hope the weather cools down so that I can at least paint something.

Getting back into painting. First finishing the Late Imperial Roman horn blower from Wargames Atlantic. I just had to finish the rim no problem there.

And then on to a new model. This is a Necromancer for Starcide by Archon Studio. I only managed to paint for like 45 minutes, but I think it is a great start for my health.

Here are the final pictures of my late Imperial Roman Hornblower from Wargames Atlantic for which I finished the rim of the base a couple of days ago.

I got the acrylic layers done on the Necromancer for Starcide by Archon Studio. Now just some varnishes and then on to the ‘dirty’ paints.
