I occasionally enjoy a new foray into territories unexplored, so I thought as I am eating a lot more vegetables while I wait to find out if I have cancer or not, that it seems the perfect time to get into Gundam as all the cool kids are at it.

I picked up an entry level kit to begin my journey. Plus it was cheap on the business daddy website.

I look forward to challenging myself and growing as a modeler. Which might set me in better stead for all those delightful Warlord kits I have been studiously avoiding

So let’s have a look at this beast that will get me a seat on the bandwagon.

There she blows!

I set about my challenge with enthusiasm and determination, I was pleased to see some results as early as the first two hours.

Day 2

Building on what I learned yesterday I was able to get the next section finished in nearly half the time!!

Day 3

With both bots constructed and the base completed it was time to play with felt tips.

A fibre tip, only more expensive, it says Gundam on it though 👍

So we arrive at the actual point of this slightly silly project. I am venturing into a bit of spaceship combat games. I bought some fleets and some different scale fighters for the upcoming Voidfighters game. In anticipation of painting these I reasoned it might be worth picking up some panel liner pens and something to practice on.

As for these little guys, I might weather them up a bunch, give them separate bases and add them to my sci fi stable.
