Razor wall and kids with ADHD

Unfortunately only when I updated picture I noticed I had bad lights and auto settings and on picture there is blue that is not on really there.

Next stage is using terradon turquoise GW on bottom and transparent blue Vallejo for rest. I used water but for painting 2nd model I will add paint medium. For my son it will be easier to blend 2 colours. It will unfortunately add drying time . I can’t use hair dryer to speed it up as we will probably be watching transformers series ( not sure what time Weekender is being released today – if it’s 5pm we good if 8pm that may be too late.)

Last step will be highlights with white again but that’s depends how long it will take wall to dry.  I have plan to do a bit more forest floor in star wars diorama I am making on separate project.

Planning is very important as ADHD brain will get him bored very quickly and introducing new fun tasks like sprinkling flock will occupy his attention for longer.

I had game with my friend this week. It was warmahine and we played it first time since probably MK2. Well at least me.

What I have realised is that I have lost my wall template for commander Sorscha.

I could just cut 2cm by 10 cm template and call it done but then I thought it’s easy to do. Why not engage my little one as he loves watching creative people building diorama and models from scrap materials with me.

Me and my both kids have ADHD. So I know how difficult things can that other don’t even notice . With our attention span most times things must be done fast and rush so something we like is easier to focus on. I am trying here though fun activities teach him methodic work. Steps to complete tasks. Priority of steps and most difficult – waiting time and choices.

Examples – you need to put brush with glue down to use both hands. This will give you more control over the peace you want to glue to the base. Or..

It takes time for glue to bond. You can apply glue and leave it for few seconds to start reaction or hold peace in place till reaction starts. I think he is dealing better with choices than his sister was his age. She would sometimes panic and freeze when she was put in situations with choices. She would rather start crying and not choose anything and kept saying I don’t know.

Also when he was not patient enough and peace would fall as it was not glued yet he would get upset and through expectations and showing on examples he would understand that it is ok and nothing happened. We would just try again. Or if the peace was in difficult locations to place we would use tools.

It took us while but I have really focused on teaching or guiding my boy how he can approach things.

I have let him wonder and play with toys when he needed. In that time I could build few more ice crystals so he would have more to do in one go.

He was in room watching me while I was cutting peaces from sprue. He was to afraid to do it himself as he is scared to cut himself. It was ok to bounce on bed while waiting.

Over all it was great son – dad time for him and lessons for him he was not aware he had and learnt.

As you see this build was jus an excuse to share my way to deal with our neuro diversity. I have built skills over 40 years to cope in society as much as I can. For a last Month I am on ADHD medication and it’s a life changer. Unfortunately my kids are to young to be properly diagnosed by NHS as there is no money for that anymore. All thx to those cunts from conservative party that  complitely ruined ours health system over their time in parliament. Anyways.

Materials used:

Plastic for base cut from soft cheese packaging.

I could cut them faster but I wanted to make it look as good as I can and not rush it. I wanted to chase effect of spell and spikes coming out of ground rapidly. With simple square shapes it looked more like
