Silver Cutlass

I think I’m doing it right, but having a rough time in Silver Bayonet.

Officer went permanently insane in the second mission and another died, so I’m rebuilding my squad from ground up.

Zombies are hard to kill and vampires (any creatures with terror) are a nightmare. They hit hard and drive you insane.

Painted up the pirates to my usual substandard level, but they’ll do for a solo skirmish campaign.

Although I’m still working on the miniature painting I created my first pirate squad so that I could play a solo game.

The squad was led by an Captain of course and the first mate was a Junior Officer. They were accompanied by four Sailors, an Occultist and a Doctor.

The pirate Burntbeard had buried his treasure and when he was returning to his ship he ran afoul of a wolf pack… one led by a werewolf… or so the story goes.

No wolf was going to stand between this Captain and treasure, so she armed her seadogs with torches. For herself and the first mate she has silver swords and shot to put an end to the wolf pack.

When they found the place where Captain Burntbeard had persished they found themselves surrounded by wolves… one had a cunning look in his eye… that were the werewolf and he took an instant dislike to the intruders.

It was a terrible battle… the werewolf felled many of the crew… and only two of them managed to reach safety with the treasure map. But they were loyal crew and went back for the comrades at the end.

The First Mate suffered a terrible injury to the arm. The Doc perished… eaten by the pack. But it was a victory of sorts… they got the map…

Some of the crew decided they’d had enough [rebuilding my squad].

The hunt for treasure continues…
