The six Hairfoot jousters plus a quintain were painted up a few months ago, so there’s a few images of finished models to start this project off.

Each player needs a team of three jousters, so six figures is all that is required to play.

Hairfoot Jousting is a lovely little whimsical game designed by Joseph A McCollough and published by Osprey Games last year. Halflings riding around on various different animals, simple rules based around using movement templates, it looked to be exactly the type of thing my daughter would enjoy, so I grabbed a copy of the rulebook on release, alongside the ‘official’ miniatures produced by Northstar Military Figures. In addition to the Hairfoots, there is also essentially an identical game in the rulebook themed on the Wartnose jousters, being goblins riding on beasties, which I also picked up.

This is partly a very belated project – I have already painted up the halflings Hairfoots, and have managed to play a couple of thoroughly enjoyable games. However, I still have the Wartnose jousters to paint, plus a few terrain pieces I want to build for the game. This project is essentially to provide motivation to get the goblins and the terrain all finished up this year.
