Name our Necron House Army!

The talented artists at Worthy Painting have been busy painting us a brand new Necron force... we asked them for something dark and menacing... so check out what they've created!
Now it's the community challenge... what should we name our sinister army of killing machines?

I love em’! My Necron force is in the process of being built, but i’ve named them “Death’s Shadow”. The scheme is a dark metal – almost black, with boltgun trim. I’d consider that a dark, menacing name no matter who had it.
You guys can take! I won’t mind 😉

As they are all now supposed to have a measure of personality, in each faction within the faction that is Necrons, why not a band name?

It’s a bit difficult to name an army when the fluff is being redesigned and we aren’t privy to the details.
Are they still the mindless automatons we knew from the 3ed codex? if so it would be more appropriate to give them a name that their enemies designated them.
If the rumors are true and they have become more sentient then all we can do is toss out generic sounding names that may or may not fit.
In light of these facts I propose the name: Dr. Huggles and The Glitterbunnies.

I’m not up on Necron fluff, but aren’t Necron armies named after the tomb world they rise from? At least, they are on the Dawn Of War computer games. To that end, my mates Crons are called Kaloris Secundus, and if I get any they will be called Raddus.
Maybe take the name of a nearby town, building or street and sci-fi it to make it sound like a cool planet.

…as the necrons are one of the oldest races in 40k but dont speak themselves… they will most likely have gotten their names from another old race, the eldar… which may or may not learned to fear this particular tombworld so the name may fit 😀

I’m thinking something simple, that would work with anything. How about, “the Dire Legion of [Add Necron Lord Name here]”. That way it can be used with any named lord or created lord, or even with a specific Tomb World name that could be created. Efficient, reusable, and recognizable. Even could be used just as Dire Legion.
