I’m watching from home and my husband is there. We agree, a fab day!
fantastic day, went with my (reluctant) 7 year old son and he really enjoyed it – getting him into demo games, all the vendors were lovely with him and helped him understand their games. They also got a few sales so thank you for helping encourage him into the tabletop hobby I really think today was an eye opener for me (how many games exist????) and was a great pull into tabletop gaming, away from video gaming, for him. Time to open up some of these boxes!
That’s really good to hear. I was considering making the trip up there (from Portsmouth) with my 9 & 11 yr olds and decided not to as thought it wouldn’t be that child friendly. I know for next year!

What can I say about the last two days. Completely overwhelmed by how much has been going on. Whether its all the play testing, masses of gaming retailer stalls, various seminars and live entertainment, or getting to hang out with the Beasts Of War gang Friday night. Thoroughly work the weekend pass, and there’s still Sunday to go!
Event looks awesome. Missed it this year as yards bolt action tournament today but the videos really help to get a feel for things

Could only attend yesterday, so thanks to BoW had chance to hear from Mr Livingstone. What an awesome bloke, boy’s birthday in September so the August relaunch of Fighting Fantasy could be a life saver.

I will definitely attend next year. I am new to the hobby, less than a year and have over 50 games already! I am totally hooked and this is the biggest event of the year. When i tell people i am into board games they are like uh? They just don’t realise how big and awesome it can be with so many new products coming out.
A nice air conidtioned Pub… cool brew and some nice snacks… ah I can imagine that instead of baking heat I’m in a cool Pub in England, visiting my Cousins Harry and William (no joke! lol).
But, alas! I can must run the AC over here in Canada to keep everyone else cool.

Here we are at the end of day two. I’m still taking a stab at trying to win so forgive this shameless post as I’m going after either the 4Ground stuff or the Bushido stuff. I play Bushido here in the states. I teach it to whoever will listen, and I just try and represent it as it is. The best miniature game I’ve played.

Saturday was the day I splurged my cash. I got VAST and Sub Terra (which was a particular hightlight) along with other bits and pieces 🙂
