Dawn takes a walk around the Open Gaming Room here at the UK Games Expo and takes in the awesomeness as all the gamers settled down to get stuck into some of their purchases.
We should be coming back to this throughout the day so you can see what some of the experiences are like here at the convention.

Board gamers want to connect with other board gamers to play games. We live for the interaction of the board game versus other forms of entertainment. This is why the /r/boardgames subreddit has over 250,000 subscribers and the top things on KS are always board games. In Seattle, WA, they even have an Expo where there is no vendors, it is just to play games with others and the venue fills up every year.

I managed to fill my time with demos this year, so didn’t get chance to meet up in open play, always a good time though with people enjoying all their games and being able to join in and make new friends.
That’s one busy gaming space!

I wonder how hard it is to find an empty table to start a game. looks like everyone has been good about sharing and inviting in new friends. Great Convention.
