Just curious, since the website ‘relaunch’ and the announcement of On Table Top, has traffic on the site been up or down? Im really curious and interested to hear what the situation is 🙂
So far it’s very good and not only is overall traffic up the big success is in the 50 to 60 percent increase in visit length and pages viewed per session. So projects etc is proving popular.
Forums are still down a bit due to outbound email notifications still not working and we haven’t reattached any of the users to the forums they were previously subscribed to, so we still have work to do there.
We took a bit of a hit on Google for a short while during the period where everything has been reindexing and getting the newsletters fired up again has had a positive effect too.
So so far so good. Well actually start to promote the platform more heavily once we have ironed out the performance issues and started the change over to OnTableTop.com
🙂
Thats good to hear. I’m not on the site too much in the last week so the idea popped into my head.
Im glad things are successful.
One thing I will say is all the grey with the banner at the top, sub banners and buttons and on the dice background page is a bit drab. A bit more colour might go a long way, imho, assuming you are looking for feedback 🙂
Any feedback is very much welcomed. It’s always going to be a work in progress mate 🙂
Cool, didn’t want to overstep the mark, unintentionally or not. Looking forward to see how things evolve in the future.
Question, has the increased traffic brought in more spammers? I sent @warzan a couple messages about some I found and was wondering if it is more of a problem with the expanded coverage?
Yes and no 🙂
We are seeing more but a lot more threats are now blocked by cloudflare.
However we are using a few more ‘standard’ urls than in the last site so making it possibly a little easier for spammers to drop crap in if they do get through.
It’s always going to be an issue and I’m giving it quite some thought at the moment. 🙂
