I have two questions – how big is he compared to the FW Primarch minis and how much will he cost? The Warhammer Community article mentions that one of his three variant heads is modelled after Horus, so if he’s big enough and cheap enough he’d be great for converting a late-Heresy Horus mini. 😉
March 5, 2019 at 4:44 pm #1357182Nice model, cool paintjob.
Still won’t buy. Don’t play 40k and painting skills nowhere near where they need to be for display pieces.
March 5, 2019 at 4:51 pm #1357184Now there’s someone fit to continue Horus’s legacy of buggering up the Imperium.
Prefer him without the cloak, without the mask but choice is good right?
March 5, 2019 at 4:52 pm #1357187@lordofuzkulak check the link that @mage provided. Size is supposed to be equal to that of a primarch.

Foot on rock… really ? 😉
As pretty as the detail is I wished they had picked a more dynamic looking pose.I know chaos vs space marines is kind of the default conflict, but I was hoping on a bit more info for the Eldar (which got a very brief mention in Vigilus Defiant).
And I know this is the ‘grim dark future of eternal war (and suffering)’, but can’t the good guys catch a break ?
It would be kind of cool if a third party showed up to assist/hinder both parties.
March 5, 2019 at 5:01 pm #1357189He can be assembled with three different heads and the cloak is optional as per the link and is also Primarch sized as per @limburger and the article 🙂
March 5, 2019 at 5:29 pm #1357205The article says nearly as tall as a Primarch, so I hope there is still a visible difference. I don’t want him to be as big as a Primarch, I’d say he is more menacing if he is smaller than a Primarch and quite a bit smaller than a Demon Primarch and is still beeing considered the bad guy number one.
March 5, 2019 at 5:38 pm #1357209Apart from the very silly trophy rack (I know no one will want to tell him it looks daft, but surely a warpsmith can fail this adornment on health and safety purposes?) he’s looking great. Nice choice of heads (plus the obv ability to use any head you want with very little fuss)
I can feel an upgrade for Lord Omicron coming on.
March 5, 2019 at 5:58 pm #1357211@dogma2097 GW aren’t doing nice racks any more.
March 5, 2019 at 6:06 pm #1357218It kinda makes sense of him being primarch ish sized since he was apparently a clone son of Horus not to mention being the favourite of all four gods at once with their power.
March 5, 2019 at 6:10 pm #1357227@mage – that’s no longer canon, if it ever was; fairly sure it was only ever a rumour in-universe. When the HH books came out from BL it was outright retconned into Horus’ geneseed mucking up the marines it was put into with many starting to resemble him, with Abaddon being one of the ones that looked most like him.
March 5, 2019 at 6:12 pm #1357228@somegeezer – youre just disappointed plastic SoBs haven’t been released yet aren’t you? ?
March 5, 2019 at 6:39 pm #1357238Just keeping an eye on the GW zeitgeist. Heck I liked that new Commissar! ?
March 5, 2019 at 6:54 pm #1357243I think this is truly awesome, cant wait to get it. Will be an expensive week for sure!
I really hope they give him some very nice rules to match, I feel he has to be very close to Roboute in terms of power, just from reading ADB’s books, (Awesome reading). Drach’nyen is supposed to be a beast, one of the most powerful combat weapons in the whole setting, oh and the Talon too… Has to be a monster for me!
