Muddy Field

skodamarine

Glad to see Deepcut still going strong, as I could imagine Covid and lockdowns would have hit them hard when people couldn’t get out to play games.

Much as I love the beach mat, I think my favourite must be the medieval ruins. It would be so versatile as you could play anything from Frostgrave to post-apocalyptic on it.

sundancer

Even more mats and no Warren… what a shame XD

scribbs

Tundra or winter

astralwraith

Probably the concrete though I’m liking the roads as well

templar007

Great mats from Deep-Cut Studio!

I am in need of a large muddy mat to play ‘Sludge’ on.

Really the quality of the mats is top-notch.

battlehawk

Great looking mats there.

spea6712

the roads are very nice

lawnor

I love their mats. They really enhance a table.

zoidpinhead

I’m loving those road and river strips. They would look great on my table layouts.

dafthelmet85

Oooh fancy gaming mat.

leftonistvaan

Just realised what’s been missing from the weekenders – mat reviews. Always great to see gaming companies doing well and expanding what they do. Like the road and river ‘mats’ would probably go with the muddy field mat.

pagan8th

For a gaming mat I’d have to say something science fiction, that would work good for the likes of Stargrave, Star Wars and Necromunda.

warhammergrimace

A city mat would be good……for use with games like Walking Dead, Reality’s Edge and Star grave

lonkelo

Realm of Beasts would be my favourite, but tough choice! Also very much drawn by the infinity maps, but I’d use the Realm of Beasts more I think.

meszko23

Love the atrap idea. Would be perfect for roads. For the Mat i think i would go for desert or grasz theme for my Wild wWst Exodus games.

redscope

I was hoping to go the show and pick up some mats from them. They are really difficult to find in the UK at the moment most shops are sold out.

phaidknott

Yup, it also saves a TON on postage and packaging as well. My last mats cost an extra 50% for the shipping. Alas Salute is probably the only UK show that the EU manufacturers attend (so if you miss that show, you are out of luck for the rest of the year).

dreadlorddon

We have their Frostgrave mat and it’s great! Would love to follow up with the Crisis Protocol mat!

collins

their mats are great. ive had them make up a custom one for me for my Star Wars Scarif table too and it was excellent

maddgame

They really have some awesome designs.

elysium64

I love Deepcut Studio mats I already have two forest and priarie, next two I want are plains and cobblestone roads

flatbattery

Oo! Need to get some of those roads.

puyzen

Wild West! As I am painting up some cowboys right now 😉

zarphann

Those dice trays are really cool!

huscarle

The roads are great we have quite a few of them plus their mats at our club. I’m the old grey chap with the white shirt at the end of the vid

zorg

the roads are looking good.

beccas

I like the Japanese dice tray.

ugleb

Hmm could do with a new mat for Legion!

elmir

Definitely want a new 4×4 feet desert mat.

flint0

I’ve never gotten a mat cause they’re so spendy. All my money goes to the plastics, lol.

phaidknott

Probably just a plain grass mat (you can never go wrong with a “standard” mat) of the usual 6X4 format. Sometimes mats can be a bit specialised, OR become scale specific (due to some of the detail printed on the mat), so a plain desert, grass or sea mat without any roads etc printed on them are always the most useful choices in my book 🙂

lordsanes

Those road and river strips are such a great idea for a table

trinitty

Great to see DCS going on, love to see new Infinity and Aristeia Mats. Yu Jing would be my mat pic.

burnseye

A great range of mats all with excellent detail.

arkamuz

Love the ruins

mischief

I have at least one Deep-Cut Studio mat, I think it’s one for my Blood Red Skies? Or it might be the Sea mat I use for Victory at Sea/D-wars. They’re so good, except of course the cost of getting them over here. I really love the idea of the roads, and rivers. If I was to buy another one, I’d totally get one of their Bushido mats. It is annoying having to mark out a 2×2 area on one of the larger mats to play.

smithsco

All the mats are impressive. Imperial Sector looks great for sci Fi gaming. Muddy fields for historic and fantasy

hobbyhoo

Rotten Garden

darkdanegan

I’ve picked up some kill team mats from Deepcut recently and they’ve been great – even though they come from Europe, the shipping has been cheap and quick. I have my eye on a couple of the bigger ones now. There’s a coastal mat that would be perfect for Star Wars – both Kashyyk and Scarif – that’ll probably be my next one!

tankkommander

Any mat…would have to be the sky map for use with blood red skies.

demonsub

I was looking at those road rolls recently as I’m after some roads similar to the Green Stuff World river sections which I have and like.

tahatan

Realm of fire, Imperial Sector or Titanicus

They’re all so fantastic!

coachjose59

They make such great stuff.

falerox

Urban Wasteland, although honestly, it’s hard to choose.

nogbadthebad

It’s a tough choice… either urban sci-fi for OPR / Deadzone or generic grass for the majority of everything else!

uptrebor

Always awesome products when you see the detail.

elmrr

Have had my eye on the Walking Dead City & Town Tile mats for a while now. The level of detail in them is great and having the modularity to move them around or scale up / down in size as required is really appealing.

tuffyears

Gaming mat is the one or two things I need to finish off my dark age hamlet

zaknafein5

Deep-Cut does great stuff.
I still haven’t bought one of those great looking mousemat mats.
It is still just a Green tablecloth for me.
It is just because if I have some money I always choose to buy more miniatures instead of investing in a great gaming mat.
Have to change that one of these days.

lorcannagle

I’ve been meaning to order one of their custom mats with a grass print and a hex grid that’s the same size as the old heroscape tiles in order to expand my group’s 3D BattleTech terrain options… So one of those, I guess?

trewets

Fantastic seeing everyone again , always great to visit this companies stall to drawl over their latest releases.
I admit I was tempted by the new dice trays.
Just GREAT!

eion755

Road and rivers look cool, but really like Steppe v2 mat

ismithe

if I won it would be 6×4 mousepad of the muddy field

jmrecoil

I have many of their mats and am always happy to see their new designs.

liamfishwick

I love these mats. Ill comment for a chance to win!

wrusher

Some lovely designs. I’d love something I could use for dungeon crawling to put the tiles on top of.

144artist

You can’t go wrong with Deep-Cut mats.

doomdark

Like the grass one those road ways look great a really good idea

radegast6

good stuff , i have 2 mats from them for years, look like new still.

psyntologist

I love using this style of mat whenever possible, and DeepCut has always looked to be top in the game. Last time I looked at their site it either wasn’t available to the states or was just hella expensive. Might have to revisit them when a new mat is needed.

fireblarney

They really do have a great range, I still have to pick up the beach mat at some point.

Mud, sludge and rot for Nurgle, or maybe something sleek and futuristic

gingerninja

Any and all. They are awesome and transform any table!

rayzryr

Mats really are a good idea…roll em out to play, when you’re done, roll them away!

redvers

Mmmmmm mats…

lblunchboxlb

They have such a huge selection of awesome looking mats that I want them all!

blipvertus

I love their stuff. I’ve got multiple mats from regular grassy fields to oceans to near orbit mats for Dropfleet and city streets for Dropzone as well as hexed mats for BattleTech. Wouldn’t mind another one!

wichrun

Muddy field as I plan to dip toe in Bolt Action soon 😉

necrothrall

I love their mats.

Been eying up their gaslands mat and cobblestone streets mat for a while now

grodd1016

Cobblestone streets. Always useful

phoenixman

Deep Cut mats are excellent quality, the printing is so clear and crisp

innes

So many nice designs to choose from.

nsogre

I have seen some cool mats from them. Wouldn’t mind a few in my collection.

dugthefug1644

I was tempted by several mats on the day. A Bashido 2 ft x 2 ft almost got bought, but keeping my eye out for a jungle or beach mat to get some Bolt Action Pacific, Blood and Plunder and Ghost Archipelago played. I promise to do battle reports with any mat I may win. (Just throwing it out there.) ☺️

mtgamer

I use their stuff a lot. The roads are fantastic.
I would want the Northland mat.

malnic

This would be an easy one – Waterworld 6′ X 4′ Needed for Navel Games (Dystopian Wars, Victory at Sea, and Cruel Seas)

tinyheadbones

Everybody in their right mind wants a Deep-cut mat.

gaiseric08

The mats look amazing. Snow or cobbles be awesome to put everything on.
