I always had an eye on saga since I saw the 4grounds great hall. Now I started watching Vikings and I want to play it even more especially with the new campaign system been released. now also late romans and Arthur are on the way seems like I have to start raiding!
Campaign possibilites are great and I wont say no to arthurian fantasies!

I’m always on the look out for a fast fun system. All the games I play are a little heavy. I enjoy them but it would be good to have a game I would have time to play a few times in an evening, instead of 1-2 games only.
I’ve wanted to try Saga for a long time, but I’ve never gotten around to it. If only I could win a starter warband some how, then I’d have to give the game a go 🙂

Hmmm…nearly bought the Viking set last week. Already have Anglo-Danes and Skraelings. So much to love about this game.

My club is in the middle of a home brewed campaign so it’ll be interesting to see how the official system will work. And Romans?! I see legions in my future!
What a great idea for Saga to have a campaign system. Having played a few games before I love the skirmish feel and the idea of scenarios and ongoing effects would really add to the game. Need to get more guys with Dane Axes now I think.
This time period was never something that I was interested in but after seeing all the coverage on the site I’m hooked!

I always feel bad when I buy minis from game X to use in game Y.. and in this case, Saga has always been my game X (those plastic vikings are an excellent base for Middenheimers for Mordheim). I suppose one day I should check it out, especially with this new campaign system to try out!

The campaign system is a great idea. The warband scale of the game really fits with the idea of a group that evolve, live and die as you go. I hope they’ve made levies very expendable and easy to replace. Would feel very thematic to go “Send in the levies to slow down the charging cavalry, there’s always more where they came from.”
If buzz in any indication this game is going to be huge! Looks very cool.

A flexible campaign system should be attractive to a lot of players out there, and wow Arthurian forces are going to be kick arse!

I’m running a tournament for Saga in a few weeks at a local convention and Gripping Beast has been great with prize support and format support. Really nice dudes! Saga is easily my favorite game right now. Just gotta get those Moors painted!

Have always liked the history of the Dark Ages but in the last 10-15 years have found myself becoming more interested in post Roman Britain. Probably started after reading the Winter King for the first time

When I look at SAGA I always get the urge to make a band based on a local tribe. How feasible is it make a mixed kelt germanic warband?
The closest in the original game and supplements is probably be the Franks. I think the new Arthurian version might have something closer to what I think you are looking for

Really getting into this game, most of the minis I picked up were for Dark Age period gaming, which includes Saga. I’ve started looking at the Crusade period as well, having picked up a few Saracens.
Really looking forward to the Early DA period stuff, hoping we will see more plastics for things like Early Saxon, Pict and so on.

Everything about this game interests me but simply don’t have enough cash to cover all these great games. The story of the Vikings is enthralling and they just weren’t blood crazed killers, though they excelled at it.

Nice to the current trend of ‘blended’ game system, eg Bolt Action & Konflict ’47, continuing.
As a lover of all things Viking Age, I’m not sure why I haven’t gotten into Saga, to be honest. I should really pick up a copy as I have enough Viking minis to field multiple warbands (my Norse Kingdoms of Men army for KoW).

I love saga. The guys demoing on the tables were really helpful and patient. I got the northern fury supplement and enjoyed assembling and painting some gripping beast viking plastics a few months ago. Just need some finishing touches and a bit of work on some saxons to get a game going soon. Hope the range and popularity builds and builds.
SAGA is fantastic. I now have hundreds of Dark Age figures and look forward to doing a campaign with their new rules.
