Let me win!!!
looks good!
John the big teddy bear with a velvet voice – so relaxing and personable. 🙂
That was a great wee intro to the Relic Knights universe. Feels like each Faction have a lot more individual flavour in their play style than I first realised. Can’t way to see more about the gameplay. Of course all the miniatures look incredible as well. The studio painted minis John brought with him are to die for. I am going to enjoy this week! 🙂
This has started to peak my interest. Looks interesting.
As a exsisting player Im hopping that after seeing this people will get excited and start playing what is a most excellent game.
There are players and events in the UK and I hope that others will join use.
I play the law cadre ( blue ) the sword sworn Paladins as my first, and entropy ( red ) the Nho as my second.
The change to designs a charictor is just epic, I have a hundred ideares, and who ever wins this is going to be envied.
@justin: You know what dominion tank police is! You truly are my favourite person in the universe!
It’s great to see John involved with this themed week, he’s a super nice guy and I love the stuff he comes up with!
Roll on the rest of the week!
Dominion Tank Police was the first anime I ever saw!! 🙂 😀
That’s a great introduction to Relic Knights and some really lovely painted miniatures. Looking forward to the rest of the week, and hoping that people will be able to see from the videos how great this game is.
I so need to get Malya as a questing knight. Would be a perfect miniature for my daughter to plah with (while I get one of the awesome looking mechs).
Thanks for this intro. I’m most definitely getting more and more interested in this game.
Looks brilliant, been eagerly awaiting this week. Not sure which faction would take my pick, so am waiting patiently the faction spotlights to get more of a feel for each one.
Really looking forward to this week! 😀
I’ve been with this game since before it was a game and it’s great to see it getting out to a wider audience. I lost count of how many times I’ve read the fluff in the rule book, roll on kickerstarter
The Game looks intresting… can´t wait to see more this week
The models all look cool, really want to see how the no dice works.
Wow
Love those minis
I need to get that big beastie for my noh faction
Seeing the questing knight version of princess Malia gives me hope that we’ll learn a little more about Void Break and Ascension.
Great showing Justin and John! Getting excited.
@dignity based on initial impressions, what faction(s) do you think you’re going to go with?
Space Pirates… I think I know what faction I’m going to play. If I can get some friends interested.
The free minis would be great but I really REALLY wanna make my own Relic Knights mini O.O
Oh a game I might actually be able to beat my jammie brother at since it has no dice: no wait it has a card deck.. still gonna get owned. *sigh*
Because you always have a hand of cards, you do go into an attack or action with some idea of your chances of success. You draw extra cards based on a unit’s skill to see if you can improve on the basic attack, but if you don’t like having to make clutch dice rolls I think this game might suit you.
@justin I posted my earlier comment before I watched, but oh my god I haven’t heard anyone say Dominion Tank Police in YEARS.
Could just as easily be drawn from Metal Slug though.
Or Ghost in the Shell. Shirow Masamune (sp?) really enjoyed the miniaturized drone tanks.
Or the little tank upgrade/power-up from Ikari Warriors. 😉
now this looks good and the prizes are not to be sniffed at, need to win though or im going to be skint once again. Its all your fault B O W you are the fail safe shiny syndrome activator with no equal.
I said god damn god damn. drop dead gorgeous looking game, i’m such a sucker for all those candy colours.
I’ve been so close to picking up some of their games before and now i’m panicking
as i’m unlikely to make it through the week.
hyped for the faction overviews
So glad it’s getting a big spotlight here, the game is a blast and a welcome change of pace from the more established competition.
Cant wait 😀
This looks awesome I’m really looking forward to watching the rest of the week’s videos
Well I have to say the models look spectacular, the paint jobs are amazing, I am not a massive anime fan. I think its probably because it was not really around when I was young. However I think that this cold be a really interesting gaming to get my son more interested in gaming:-) I look forward to finding more out about this.
This game intrigued me for a while now, so it’s nice to learn a bit more about it now. Looking forward to everything this week will have to offer.
Thanks for the brief overview of Relic Knights! Can’t wait to see the faction specific videos!
A little sad that most of the models they showed were the new models. I guess our KS backers are just stuck with the fuglies that came out of that disaster of a launch. Oh well, fingers crossed that RK succeeds in 2017.
The newer models are a little better looking, but they were pretty even with the facetime for the different releases. Kisaro-To and the Dimaondback are both from the kickstarter.
Awesome minis! i am looking forward to more Relic Knights.
Can’t wait to see what this game has to offer!
This looks interesting. Looking forward to this week. I do like he look of the models.
Really looking forward to learning about this game.
I’m interested in seeing how the game works without any dice; sounds like an intriguing feature
A few suggestion for a future video. If you are doing and intro it would have been better to see it without the terrain so you focus on what is in each faction box and bit of the rules.
The miniatures look fantastic there is no doubt, but the terrain to gets in the way of what should be an intro in the universe.
For the designer, there are color blind folk and wish you could pick different colors for the cards and more distinct symbols for the factions.
Anyways, we will see how the week goes.
A painted Dahon, you say? I have a painted Dahon too. It may or may not be as good as the one oin the video….
http://www.beastsofwar.com/groups/painting/forum/topic/hounds-of-nozuki
nice work mate
Minis look cool
cool minis, and an interesting game system? Now I have to convince my friends to try another game… where’s my wallet?
i didn’t think I’d be interested, but I may have to start a new game soon. 🙂
Really wanted to play this game and paint this miniatures.
I really like the fact the Beasts of War cover a wide base of miniatures games such as Relic Knights for their theme weeks. I am interested to see what the factions are and how this game plays.
This is looking very cool!
I’ve had the rulebook for this game for some time now- no doubt by the end of this week I’ll be looking to add some minis to that!..
I can’t wait to watch the intro game!
Looking good!…Relic Knight go go go!
I look forward to this week
I hope we get to hear about the new units in the trailer.
Well, here it to a best luck to us all and thanks for sparking greater interest for this series.
Well this is interesting
Cannot wait for the rest of the videos. Thanks for giving Relic Knights the spotlight it deserves, more people should know about this!
I’ve seen of Relic Knights, but never really looked properly into it. I’m looking forward to the way you guys delve into games in your review weeks. Will definitely be watching this week!!!
I can’t wait to learn more about the different factions. The models look amazing.
Awesome models… If I start another miniature game this would be it
This looks awsome!
Looks neat can’t wait to learn more about this game.
Drawn to this game because of the minis, looking forward to seeing the gameplay.
Oooo me likely, though i do have to wonder how they could add new factions giving the way the express themselves.
No dice? Sacrilege!
Only joking. I’ll be interested to see how it all works and plays out.
I like the look of the Noh Empire.
I’ve been interested in RK for a while now ever since my daughter fell in love with the Speed Circuit of Cerci. I’ve been torn between the ethics of the Shattered Sword and the look (yay, purple) of Black Diamond. I’ve watched demos at Adepticon (and will again this year), and, other than the obvious hobby aspect, I hope there’s some hidden game play that would keep me (or us) wanting to play the game after the first few bouts, such as a campaign or such.
Great paint jobs on the minis, especially the big mechs, lively and colorful, but they seemed kinda lost on that huge table which seemed more designed for the cover system of Infinity.
been looking forward to this for a long time
This is such a fun game. I am glad its getting some attention.
The models for this game look so awesome that I ended up buying some just as display pieces. It’ll be great if I can start gaming with them as well 😀
Yes yes yes! Finally, relic knights week is here! You guys have no idea how stoked I am for this.
These look great. Nice minis, cool gameworld, easy rules. what’s not to like?
Interested in the models as they look so nice and shiny.
Looking at this for me lad, the card driven mechanics and small model count along with the Anime theme have peaked his interest.
Nice Start on this.
Minatures are lovely.
Yep, that’s off to a good start!
I got in on this kickstarter…they actually made all of the units available to all customers. It was great. No checking on ebay trying to find one exclusive that somebody is trying to overprice, just because it was exclusive. This is true of all Soda Pop properties. Thanks for this week, lovin’ it.
thanks for the intro, can’t wait for the rest!
This game looks fantastic, a nice change of pace to not have any dice
Are the studio models the production minis or masters?
Already you show some things I wasn’t aware of yet, like the existence of the mini tank for Black Diamond.
The studio mini’s look great up close.
Awesome, always have been interested in that game.
Looks interesting. Definitely looking forward to see how the card system works.
just what I need, more coolness. I m very intrigued by the dice-less component of the game (plus all of the awesome minis)
Just what I didn’t need … another game that looks cool.
My wallet is going to hate you when this week is done.
A dice less game, every thing based on cards.
It want be possible to blame the dice gods when it goes wrong.
I will have to check this out,
Been looking forward to learning more about this, I remember you guys doing some unboxings last year and almost picked the game up then, I like the sound of the esper deck rather than dice.
Looking forward to see what new minis are released with Void Break.
I’m interested to see how a diceless system works
excellent support for my favorite mini’s game….
Yup looking forward to seeing more about the system at play, plus the minis are awesome
What was the influence of this anime related game?
Great introduction to Relic Knights, loving the very well painted mini`s. Nice vibrant colour schemes on all the factions, i would be hard pressed to pick one.
Never thought i would be interested in a game with out dice, but this may be just the one to grab my interest. The next thing to work out, is which faction to choose.
OK, that actually looks really cool!
Looking forward to the breakdown of the different factions
I have never heard this game described in any less than glowing terms. It’s nice to have a bit of the fluff, which I’d not really heard before amid all the praise for the mechanics.
Hmmm. Paint up the Black Diamonds as the cast of Dominon Tank Police. Now THERE’s an idea…..
Great looking mini’s who is the studio painter!
I guess I missed it during the rules explanation but will they use the 1.5 rules that were out for a beta test last year?
Because we liked the game but had some issues with how some stuff worked. The linked teams and push/pull/move damage being the major pain points. It was fixed (at least for us) in the beta but we are currently waiting for the release of the new rules before we dive back in.
This was filmed a few months back, but I expect they will be using the Version 1.5 rules for this.
Nice looking figures but what about the rules?
Yet another game week making me weak. I am losing resolve. I might be convinced to get it
Wanna see more of this game….Like it has no dice and the non ur turn my turn aspect of the game which is totally essentially in my opinion now a days!
Thanks for giving us a chance to win!!
People talk about infinity as being anime inspired but this looks like the real deal
At first I didn’t think much of the game, but the mechanics: a card based, queue activated system seems really interesting to me! Going to have to get the rulebook!
The current rules (V1.5) are available as a download from Soda Pop Miniatures if you want to check out how the rules work: http://sodapopminiatures.com/news/2016-07-28-relic-knights-1-5-update.html
Awesome to see Relic Knights stuff on here!
Every single mini looked amazing!! I’m trying to resist starting a new game this year, dammit!
Looking forward to seeing the rules in depth later this week.
The anime look is interesting, Captain Harker remind me of someone else 😉
I love it.
I hope to see a good game that explained the game.
No dice? Hmm…
I definitely wasn’t interested in this game until John mentioned the Dark Space or as I understand it the ‘Nothing’. While he was describing it I could not resist to think of “The Neverending Story” from Michael Ende. Ah, childhood memories…
Let’s do this.
Them big models do catch the eye.
Looking forward to this content. Always wondered about this game, love the miniatures. I will be following all week.
loving this so far. can’t wait to see all the factions and some game play
Glad to see the week start.
Hoping this transfers into a bunch or people picking the game up and giving it a go, its a great game and the rules updates have definitely improved it.
For those who are more modeller and less gamer, look to the resin miniatures that came out in 2016 rather than the older plastic ones. The resin models are fantastic!
Always loved this setting and hope the new Void Break expansion made some this game more popular.
Will you fight to save the Last Galaxy, or are you out for yourself? One thing I love is that within each faction/cadre you have multiple viewpoints on what needs to be done. Thanks for spreading the word about Relic Knights. 🙂
With a card mechanic, you will have to have extra decks to include people that don’t have one. Can’t really share a deck in most games like this, like you can share dice. It will be harder to expand because you have to expand with their cards, where a dice based game you just change what the dice do, or add more dice, or roll the dice more times. Cards, you have to have the cards.
Not sure if this is played around me anywhere. Hopeful that it catches others eye this week.
Hmm seems interesting
That was some amazing paint jobs on this minis
Looking forward to this. I’m curious how the mechanics work… without dice…
Been waiting to see the table see some use, can’t wait for some awesome battle reports!
Ive been looking forward to this. Love the models but know nothing about how the game actually works.
I really like the card mechanics
I have Black Diamonds and Noh. I love these figures to paint.
Backed the original Kickstarter and looking forward to what the future holds.
The mechanics of no dice do seem interesting
Looking forward to this weeks game coverage.
As always a great format and it looks like @dignity gets on with the ninja division presenter ,so will get clear and precise questions and answers.
I have been wanting to play this game for a while but there is no one that I know that wants to play. Maybe I will get them any was they just look so cool.
I love the style and size variance between the factions. Plus Mechs!!!
Looking forward to the rest of the week, loving the minis ( it would be awesome to win some
I need this in my life
Looking like its going to be an interesting week. Glad you guys chose something with anime flair.
Sweet, very interested to see how this game plays. The design of the miniature is awesome, reminds me of the old cartoon shows I watched as a kid.
Sounds rather interesting looking forward to the rest of the week.
Props to @dignity for the Bonaparte reference! I must say I had the same thought when I saw the auto tank and it was one of the reasons that swayed me towards the Black Diamond faction (that and Sophia Drake + Suspect 7). I’m hoping the videos this week will motivate me to actually take them out of the box! 😀
I just want to thank the Team to do this focus on a game that have very different universe from known skirmish games.
I will follow this week with attention;
Can you ask for a better representative for your game then John Cadice. I think Black Diamond would fit my play style.
Very interested in Relic Knights. Like the look of the Black Diamonds and the Noh. Can’t wait to watch some more videos.
certainly sounds like an interesting game.
Skirmish games have been on the rise in my area (Kill Team, Malifaux, Infinity, etc) so it may be time for me to give Relic Knight another look.
Looking forward to this week!
Just wow
Looking good, excited to see some battle reports
the idea seems good, but not sure until you guys dig into the factions more.
Go on tempt me!
The minis look lovely and the paint style really brings that anime feel. Looking forward to the rest of the week.
Interested in finding out more. Liking the look of the Black Diamond guys
Relic Kinghts has arrived! Whoop!
This looks interesting. My wife even showed some interest so this would be fun to game together with.
Black diamond and the Noh empire look the most interesting to me
Pick me! <3
Wow now this has grabbed my attention. I have always been fascinated by the Japnese style and look of these figures but I could never figure out how this game works, I can’t wait to get into this week.
Certainly sone big beasties in this!
I am really interested in learning the mechanics to this game!
I love these models as they are a painters wet dream
John has a great way of explaining, really makes the game’s story come alive, and gets my imagination going.
I really hope this sparks some more interest in this game! I am hoping to actually be able to find people to play my Kickstarter stuff with.
This and Wild West Exodus are my two favorite miniatures games. I particularly love the strategy and resource management aspects of Relic Knights.
Relic Knights is another one that keeps twinging my “shiny” muscle … damn you BOW!!!
Can’t wait for more Relic Knights to come along 😀
Now those are some good looking minis.
Looks interesting. If I win I try to get a mate in.
Can’t wait, I love any diceless games!
It’s going to be a great week.
I just don’t have the imagination to be able to paint in that cartoon style….won’t stop me trying though.
different kind of game with nice models
Looks cool.
This game has really intrigued me, finally managed to get some time to watch these videos. It’s certainly a possibility for me.
I’m really interested in this, amazing looking mini’s always draw me to but then the actually game system looks quite unique. Can’t wait to watch the game demo! 🙂
yes at last Relic Knights one of my favorite games
The back story for Relic Knight is so interesting and I love how different the factions are from each other but how they are drawn together by there own motivations.
Not a huge fan of Anime, but a good game system works for me no matter what the setting. This system is really innovative and gives a completely different feel to many others I play. Really looking forward to see more about the individual factions and their play style.
I’m starting to get the feeling that I’m about to be getting a new game now.
🙂
Brother G
#This game looks so up my street it is not funny. I love the Sci-Fi Manga look and having just finished watching Gurren Lagann for the 60th time or something, the over the top attacks and crazy pseudo magic craziness speaks volumes to me. Plus the quality of the minis looks FANTASTIC
This totally convinced me!
awesome!
I really like the art style of this range.
May have to invest in Angel’s painting book to help with painting those mechs.
Cool intro, gets me in the mood of playing 🙂
wow. i wasnt aware that ninja division goes on tabletop games. and its diceless.. hell.. im so amazed, also how could i miss it. im guessing im gonna spend some time to research. mechaics looks so interesting im looking forward to watch demo
Minis look great and the gameplay seems different to usual skirmish games which is always good in my opinion.
cool
I linked this video to a couple of friends and it looks like John’s smooth voice has lured them into picking up a faction or two. Thanks John and Justin for snaring me some more opponents.
Some of there model is so eyecandy, i dont even know which faction would i choose
I like the minis but the game play mechanics are what’s intriguing me the most.. best watch the demo vid now 🙂
Great episode as always
Ok, so I saw Calico’s knight model and I am now sold at least from a hobbyist standpoint. Looking forward to the demo game.
Its going to be so good looking into Relic Knights
