Thank you so so much everyone for the lovely comments. It really is a dream job to be able to travel the world introducing people to new games and I was truly gobsmacked at being presented with the opportunity by Mythic Games.
To think that April ’17 was my first time in BoW Studios at the Army Painter / Runewars Bootcamp and then it’s only been since August last year that I joined the team full time is absolutely insane. I fully expected to be with BoW for some time to come.
I am INSANELY thankful for the position BoW allowed me to enter into. Getting to meet great community members, attend huge events, and be part of some many fun times. I am told that you will still have board game content when I’m gone, so sorry for that 😛

On one of the winter tables I noticed several trees that were knocked over in a tangled pile. Leave them that way. We call that a ‘blowdown’ here, they occur a lot in heavy forests and even a seriously determined mischievous boy finds them nearly impassable.

You can use that to create impassable terrain to break up the table and it will allow you to cover space with fewer trees. And creates a terrain feature that is very rarely used on tables I’ve ever seen. When I saw that blowdown on the table it really sold me on the idea that that was in a Northern European type setting very much like the Hurtgen Forest.

FWIW, the Fabled Realms map is in the southern hemisphere. So the colder stuff is on the bottom of the map. 😀

Az…….I can honestly say that I had for the most part given up on board games and was only doing tabletop games, but you and your enthusiasm shined a light on the subject that caused me to look at board games again. I’m still mainly tabletop games but now I don’t point and glare at the folks that enjoy only “board games”.
I will miss you on the weekenders and seeing you bouncing around the office, in and out of camera shot.
I just had a thought, we won’t see you on next years Awards show! That’s a bummer.
ps. I always thought that Sam was on the staff full time, just not in shot as the camera was aimed too high!

Really sad to hear. Az was such an amazing addition to the team. I really wouldnt have thought someone could fill Warzans in weekenders shoes but Az, with enthusisam, energy and positivity, indeed suceeded like hell.
