All three of us fence epee, though I occasionally do a little sabre.
My Epee was alright back in the day as well, if nothing else long arms help – now I have become too large a target. Saber was just larger in my club

This has been great, really, thanks for doing this. After 8 years of visiting the site and being part of the community it’s an increasingly large part of my life – at times it’s easy to feel isolated (especially living out in the sticks) and hobby fatigue becomes an easy trap to fall into so the energy the team and the wider community brings really is refreshing and at times single-handedly keeps me invested in the hobby. Bravo, bits like this where you get to know more about people you develop a respect, admiration, a genuine fondness for is really nice. I’m going to have to deffo summon up the courage to get my arse down to Salute some time so I can meet you fine people face to face.

On a serious note, have you ever looked at Valor & Victory? Print & Play by an old ASL fan who loved ASL but not so much the very intimidating rules set. It’s the more accessible “spiritual descendant” of ASL. Still has a really big community, and friends and I have expanded the system into our own World War I and Vietnam editions as well.

What an excellent BoW XLBS!It was good to hear the answers to the questions posed by the other members. Reminded me of so many similarities between us all, which help to bind us closer as a group, as opposed to our differences! Especially like Ben’s responses, especially his liking of ‘real’ beer, like Bishops Finger and excellent IPAs. Here’s to many more great content from ALL at OTT/BoW.; )
Great show. I enjoyed in immensely. It was nice t9 learn more about the team especially how they came to be at bow or ott. I was hoping for a few bloopers at the end as I do love bloopers but perhaps there will be some at the end of the year.
Anyone else surprised by Sam’s reply to Q1? I was actually expecting him to answer WHFB.

It was nice to find out a little bit more about those who slog away behind the scenes . Hope they get to join in let’s plays or unboxings from time to time . While its nice to have a couple of folks who like a game/figure system /line do a review / unboxing , its also nice to get a reaction from someone who has never played or had limited contact with the game . 1st impressions sort of thing ….

Happy Sunday! I have to say I loved this episode. It was wonderful to see the hearts and minds of the people behind BoW, a little different, all special, and all joined by a common love and passion for the hobby. The same love that I believe the community as a whole shares. It made me laugh quite a bit too (not least seeing Lance say his least favourite setting was historical, and least favourite genre was wargaming, whilst wearing a blood & plunder t-shirt 🙂 )

Just wanted to post to say how much I enjoyed this XLBS. Was really interesting to get to know some of the less visible members of the team – also interesting to note the number of people with doctorates, medical skills and advanced combat training… I think come the zombie apocalypse the BOW ice-cream van stands a very good chance indeed.
