Wow. Sunday already. Not only did I miss Friday but it seems – because of the bonanza of rugby on the telly yesterday – Saturday passed me by too. Anyway, it’s nice to have a little catch up and join in. Here goes….
How are you feeling currently? Still hung over from St. Paddy day?
Pretty good. No hangover (I don’t think I’ve ever had one – not because I’m some kind of beer monster, but because I’ve an allergy to alcohol, so can’t get drunk). But it feels like spring is on its way, people are starting to smile at each other, it feels like things are gradually getting better. My fear is that they just go back to “normal”. It’d be good if we could take just the best bits of how life used to be and create this fabled “new normal”.
What positive things happened to you in the last days?
Completely destroyed my game/app by adding in a new system of starting/joining online games and downloading assets, but got it working again yesterday (during a lull in the England game – yes, I know, much of it felt like a “lull”, that’s how I managed to get so much done!). Got me a rechargeable battery amp to take outside for jamming with my guitar (who knows, maybe even a little busking?) . And the campervan got a new MOT so we’re ready to go exploring, once we’re allowed to once again. Things feel pretty positive just at the minute, in Blinky Towers.
What is your favourite holiday?
Some days I feel like I live on holiday – it’s why I love the nice weather. Just a short walk, or a quick bike ride, and we’re on the beach. Brighton is a bit of a party town – there’s always something going on. It’s just a matter of getting out and having a look around. I never know what day it is, let alone what time of year. I have no concept of “holidays” as in dates in a calendar (Easter, Xmas etc) so it’s hard to pick a favourite. The best holiday I ever went on was the one that introduced me to canal boating (so much that my wife and I went on to liveaboard a narrowboat for a few years, many years later).
Pledge this week – I’m painting up a Great Grimoire Alice in Wonderland model as a birthday gift. But, of course, a straight forward painted mini isn’t enough – I’m adding some tiny animatronics. I might just make a project for it….
