Clone Wars arrives for Legion

FFG just announced the Clone Wars core (https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2019/3/28/the-clone-wars-have-begun-1/) set for Star Wars Legion and the B1 Battle Droids and Phase 1 Clone Troopers expansions (https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2019/3/28/the-clone-wars-have-begun-1/).

Really like what they are showing there and I also like that there will be more customization options.

While I like the idea of more factions I do wonder if the existing factions are fleshed out enough.

arguably there are not enough troop choices and too many special forces choices for each faction atm. I would be awesome to be able to run a whole Wookiee army for example but sadly can only ever have 12 (well 13 with chewie) Wookiees on the table. Rebels always seem to end up with thousands of troopers (which is fine, I do that) but id quite like to theme the force more etc.

 

I am excited for battledroids however. I think they’re cool (and dumb which is why they’re cool) and that grievous model is excellent in my book.
